Monna Lisa Evo Tre Makes its Debut at ITM 2018
Monna Lisa Evo Tre Makes its Debut at ITM 2018

Epson will showcase the new Monna Lisa Evo Tre for the first time at ITM 2018, which increases the size of production in digital textile printing. Developed in line with the demands of the growing market, the printer contains many innovations for flexibility and reliability.

Epson and its subsidiaries For.Tex. and Fratelli Robustelli have decided to make their début at ITM 2018, the trade fair dedicated to textile machinery to be held in Istanbul from 14 to 17 April 2018. The aim is to reaffirm the companies’ focus on the local textile industry. Indeed, for some years now, Turkey’s important textile market has been showing considerable interest in digital printing in response to the evolving needs of this fast-paced sector. Epson will be hosting visitors in Hall 5 Booth 505A at ITM 2018.

At ITM 2018, in a large stand of over 200 square meters, the companies will display the latest Monna Lisa model, Monna Lisa Evo Tre, the first with Precision Core head. This single printer complies with different market needs in terms of both quality and productivity. Designed by the engineering company F.lli Robustelli, the Monna Lisa Evo Tre features innovative and exclusive Epson PrecisionCore proprietary printing technology. Its flexibility provides unprecedented quality, productivity and reliability – features that make the new printer one of the most versatile digital textile printers on the market.

One of the most important qualities of the new Monna Lisa is its flexibility. It provides users with a single printer meeting a variety of different production needs. It can print on any type of fabric and reproduce from the simplest to the most complex designs, with the highest quality and with perfect speed and repeatability. This means drastically reduced production times and in-line sampling with production. These features are crucial to satisfy demanding markets that are constantly on the lookout for innovation, from the high-fashion world to the entire textile and clothing sector.

A booming market

Turkey is one of the most important markets for Epson, For.Tex. and F.lli Robustelli, as confirmed by the textile convention organised by the three companies in Como in November 2017. Having first approached the Turkish market in 2009, today there are more than 30 operational Monna Lisa printers in the country’s main printing companies.

Turkey’s booming textile sector is one of the country’s leading industries; and is greatly supported by exports; in 2015, five billion dollars’ worth of fabrics were exported worldwide. The Turkish textile market is quickly discovering the benefits of digital printing; and is likely to do as well (if not better) than other markets – like Italy; where this type of printing has been long and extensively employed. Digital printing makes it possible to seize the opportunities introduced by fast fashion; while, at the same time, adopting sustainable production methods that preserve the environment.

It is precisely to meet the needs of an industry requiring flexibility and utmost customisation; that the three companies will be presenting the latest Monna Lisa model at ITM 2018. Ever a point of reference for industrial printing on high quality fabrics; the Monna Lisa printers work with a wide variety of materials; wool, linen, cotton, silk, polyester, polyamide, viscose and mixed; and with different types of inks. This, combined with Epson’s powerful technology; makes it possible to reproduce complex drawings with vibrant colours and an infinite number of shades.

Monna Lisa Evo Tre; new technical advantages for flexibility and reliability

Monna Lisa Evo Tre is equipped with several technical superiorities. The exclusive vacuum-packed and degassed ink management system is designed to obtain the maximum efficiency; and ensure that no ink is wasted. Easy and safe access to the machine for inspections, management and maintenance operations. The efficient fabric loading and dragging system is studied to ensure highly precise printing speed and quality. The broad resolution range and interlacing methods ensure high quality prints on any fabric type. PrecisionCore new printhead array combines quality, precision, velocity and reliability with unprecedented results. It is the ultimate evolution of Epson’s proprietary Micro Piezo printing technology.

The stand will also feature SureColor SC-F9300; Epson’s latest dye sublimation printer designed to produce small volumes of highly customised fabrics.
