44 Turkish companies attented to Première Vision New York fair where global textile and fashion manufacturers met.

Followed very closely by fashion world, Première Vision New York fair was carried out in New York Pier 94 between the dates of 18-19 July. At the fair where many fabric and accessories manufacturers attented, 2017-2018 autumn/winter collections were presented. Taking place by total 322 firms’ attendance, at tha fair total 44 Turkish textile firms appeared 28 of which were members of Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Union(UTİB). UTİB members attented to the fair as the national participation organisation.

At the fair where special and technical textile products were exhibited as well as fashion-oriented women and men clothes and accessories, Turkish manufacturers showed innovative collections in America.Bringing global leaders and professionalists in the textile world together, the fair offers great chances in terms of observing the next seasons’ trends correctly and influencing by them.

The senior executives and UTIB members companies were brought together in bilateral negotiations at the fair that received great attention from visitors, buyers and attendees from all over the world. The fair where 2017-2018 autumn-winter collections were exhibited, makes important contributions to the companies especially in the designing process. Premiere Vision New York is among the organizations which is important for the sector with its feature of being a guide to companies in defining main season trends.

Première Vision New York: “The Biggest Textile Market After Europe

UTIB Board of Management Vice President Pınar Taşdelen Engin said that USA is the second biggest textile market after Europe. Engin stated these; “The United States of America is the biggest economy in the world with its population more than 300 million and purchasing power parity. The textile export of this giant market is around 12 billion dollar and ready-wear export is 96 billion dollar. In the first half of 2017, Turkey’s textile and ready-wear export to the USA was 416 million dollars. Also with the effect of the fair, we think that there will be a significant rise in our export especially in the next year. ”

Pınar Taşdelen Engin, stating that Turkish ready-wear sector is the 6th  biggest country clothes the world, recorded that it has also became an important suppliers for the USA since 2000. Engin expressed thusly; “We fulfilled the potential in this market. Our fashion and designs were appreciated by American consumers. The researches and analysis we carried out also prove our thought. American consumers will shortly realize the difference in fashion and design  products in various categories in Turkish ready-wear and value them. ”

Expressing that at Première Vision New York fair, UTIB’s booth attracted the interest of world’s greatest fashion brands’ authorities and visitors with its special and colorful design, Engin added that some important bilateral negotiations have been carried out for the development of the sector.
