One of the leading automotive leather manufacturers of Italy, Gruppo Mastrotto expands productivity with Lectra\u2019s Versalis\u00ae leather cutting solutions. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Producing a total 21 million m2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/sup>leather annually at its 20 production and logistics plants, Gruppo Mastrotto continues not only local but also its global leadership in leather market. Focusing on new generation technologies in order to add value to its customer service, the firm uses Lectra<\/a>\u2019s technological solutions. In that sense, it is announced that the company would digitalize its leather cutting process with Versalis\u00ae.<\/p>\n

Defending that the end-customers now expect a broader array of choices for a more personalized vehicle interior, Gruppo Mastrotto aims to answer this demand by digital cutting solutions. The process of vehicle interior design became faster and expanded its offerings, to keep up with this transition, the firm equipped its cutting rooms with Versalis\u00ae leather-cutting solution. The leather manufacturer is expected to achieve flexibility in production with Lectra<\/a>\u2019s solutions also grab the attention of automotive manufacturers among its customer portfolio.<\/p>\n

Gruppo Mastrotto is foreseen to have many advantages from this collaboration. Because Versalis\u00ae leather cutting solutions enables a level of quality and material gains impossible to achieve using die presses. Providing an uninterrupted cutting process, Versalis\u00ae\u00a0 also removes the need for foam-model development, saving eight to 12 weeks of development time in the process.<\/p>\n

\u2018Traditional Methods Can\u2019t Meet the Demand\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Stating they expand the firm\u2019s capacity significantly, Automotive General Manager, Gruppo Mastrotto Alberto Silvagni, expressed that the traditional die cutters can\u2019t meet the demands of current automotive industry.<\/p>\n
