The ITMA ASIA CITME 2016 was held in Shanghai, China from 21 to 25 October at the National Exhibition and Convention Center and attracted over 100,000 visitors. Groz-Beckert<\/a> held technical discussions with more than 4,000 visitors during the five days of the trade fair. Most of the visitors to the Groz-Beckert<\/a> booth were from Asia. The company presented products and solutions across the entire textiles value chain at its booth D29 in hall 4.<\/p>\n

Almost 1,700 exhibiting companies from 28 countries displayed their product and service highlights at the leading textile industry trade fair in Asia. Using exhibits and films, Groz-Beckert showed how smart products and services can save resources, while at the same time increasing productivity.<\/p>\n

To present the products, the realistic transparent textile machines first introduced at the ITMA 2015 in Milan were used for the segments of knitting, weaving, felting, tufting, carding and sewing. Machines equipped with Groz-Beckert needles and system parts provided the public with direct insight into product uses and their perfectly coordinated interplay. Moreover, the removable components in the transparent machines made for a genuine product experience.<\/p>\n

A highlight in the\u00a0Knitting<\/strong>\u00a0segment was the introduction of the new generation of Litespeed\u00ae needle: the Litespeed\u00ae Plus. The use of these needles reduces energy consumption by up to 20% over conventional knitting machines. The reason for this is their optimized shaft geometry.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Weaving\u00a0<\/strong>segment also came up with a new product. In addition to healds, shafts, drop wires and warp stop motions, the segment presented its new jacquard heald. The WarpMaster drawing-in machine and the KnotMaster warp-tying machines were of great interest.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Felting<\/strong>\u00a0segment gave a presentation on needle solutions for filtration felts, as well as on the areas of geotextiles, papermaker felts and automotive. The “glass” needling machine demonstrated the advantages of a combination of GEBECON\u00ae and EcoStar\u00ae needles while offering direct insight into the needling process.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Tufting<\/strong>\u00a0segment also presented itself with a transparent exhibit. Its centerpoint was the improved Gauge Part System, consisting of tufting needle, gripping device, reed finger and tufting knife.<\/p>\n

The recently established\u00a0Carding<\/strong>\u00a0segment was represented for the first time at a Groz-Beckert corporate trade-fair booth in Asia. The main focus was on presentation of the synthetic doffer wire D40-30-52C CBF, which is especially suited to processing abrasive materials such as matted synthetic fibers.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Sewing<\/strong>\u00a0segment put its patented quality management INH (Ideal Needle Handling) in the spotlight of its presentation. This new service includes not just process optimization in coordination with customers, but also supplies the required work equipment by Groz-Beckert. With this, Groz-Beckert not only creates a new standard for handling broken and damaged sewing-machine needles, but also for the service portfolio which customers will soon have access to.<\/p>\n

For Groz-Beckert, the ITMA Asia + CITME 2016 resulted in many interesting discussions and new incentives, and was a resounding success.<\/p>\n
