In gender equality, Turkey is ranked as the 130<sup>th <\/sup>\u00a0among 144 countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Women\u2019s place and importance in social life is constantly brought up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/en\/category\/topical\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the agenda<\/a> in Turkey as an indicator of development. Even though they have the same constituonal rights with men and form almost half of the population, (49,8%) women face with serious problems in attending to social life. As a part of economy and production, women\u2019s place in business life reveals some interesting facts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Performing \u2018Women Matter\u2019 research in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia for 10 years, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McKinsey &amp; Company<\/a> made \u2018Women Matter T\u00fcrkiye 2016\u2019 report with the partnership of <a href=\"http:\/\/tusiad.org\/tr\/\">T\u00dcS\u0130AD <\/a>in Turkey for the first time. This report evaluated women\u2019s attendancy to work force and its potential. Containing 240 thousand white collar workers in Turkey from 102 local and international companies from leading 11 various sectors, this research brings out women\u2019s attendancy to work force and potential. According to the research, in the global economy; the level of 12-28 trillion dollars of a big growth may occur in 2025 with\u00a0 the increase of women\u2019s joining to work force.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turkey is in very back of the list; in terms of gender equality (access to health, education services, attendance to economical activites and politics with\u00a0 equal of opportunities)it is ranked as the 130<sup>th <\/sup>among 144 countries. In Turkey the rate of women\u2019s attendancy to work force (between 15-64 ages) is confirmed as 33%, this rate is the lowest among OECD countries. With the help of strong politics that increase women\u2019s attendance to work force up to 63%, Turkey\u2019s national income (GSY\u0130H) \u00a0has the potential to grow 20% in 2025.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Women Managers Bring Success<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Women Matter research, it is stated that women\u2019s attendance to work force is a significant growing opportunity for both world\u2019s and Turkey\u2019s economy. It is stressed that women\u2019s increasing in firms and their raising to leading positions develop firm\u2019s performance and culture. Women\u2019s given part in firms\u2019 administrative teams can contribute to these companies\u2019 financial performance positively. In an administration where women are given place, the average shareholders\u2019 equity profit is 22% whereas in an administration with no women, this profit is determined as 15%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Turkey, women firms half of the qualified people source. With 2014-2015 data, the rate of women among higher education graduates in Turkey is thusly; college 49%, master\u2019s degree 45% and doctorate 46%. In the report it is remarked that having a stabled ratio of woman employees in a firm is beneficial in terms of firm\u2019s being customer-oriented. The rate of buying decision\u2019s making\/affecting by women in sectors is ranked thusly; furniture and home decoration 94%, vacation 92%, real estate 91%, automotive 60% consumer electronics 51%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Women Matter T\u00fcrkiye 2016 research shows\u00a0 that Turkey; just like the other countries; has some areas on women\u2019s representation and leadership that need to be improved. Women representation rate in Turkey\u2019s leader companies is a litte under its international examples. While this rate is 53% in USA, it is 41% in Turkey. Also the rate of women\u2019s representation gets lower as it escalates to the administrative level. 15% of general managers, 25% of high administration and 42% of entry level workers consist of women.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Women\u2019s Power According to T\u00dc\u0130K Data<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is recognized that Woman Matter report is based on Turkey\u2019s leading 192 firms; and many information stated can actually be much lower in terms of Turkey\u2019s majority. According to T\u00dc\u0130K\u2019s \u2018Women with Statistics 2015\u2019 research; 49,8% of the country\u2019s population consists of women which means 39 million 220 thousand 862. In that sense, it is found out that the illiteracy rate of women is 9,2%; which is 5 times higher than men\u2019s. As T\u00dc\u0130K data says, women\u2019s rate of attendance to work force is 26,7% which is the half of men\u2019s rate. Aside from that, educated women\u2019s rate of attendance to work force is higher with 30,3% rate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The researches also reveal that women with any educational status get lower payment than men. Women with higher education diploma get 1,3% percent lower payment than men in similar positions. In highshcool and lower education cases this rate rises up to 1,8%.
