2017 has started off on a positive note for Italian textile machinery manufacturers. For the first quarter, orders have increased both in Italy and abroad. ACIMIT<\/a> president Raffaella Carabelli: “Orders for the start of 2017 confirm a positive trend in major foreign markets, and a climate of trust for Italy\u2019s textile industry that is on the upswing.” Italian machinery<\/span><\/p>\n

The orders index for textile machinery compiled by ACIMIT<\/a>, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, for the period from January to March, grew 24% compared to the same period in 2016. The index value stood at 113.7 points (basis 2010 = 100).<\/p>\n

Positive signs for italian machinery<\/h1>\n

This growth regarded mostly markets abroad, where the index came in at an absolute value of 124.1 points (+26%). In Italy, the increase compared to the period from January to March 2016 was 16%, with an absolute value of 71.5 points.<\/p>\n

ACIMIT president Raffaella Carabelli commented on the results. \u201cThe index data for the\u00a0 first three months of the year confirm the positive signs ascertained by our businesses in various foreign markets.\u201d<\/p>\n

The dynamic trend for Italy\u2019s domestic market originates, on the other hand, with the National Industrial Plan 4.0. \u201cA renewed climate of enhanced trust is currently perceived in the textile sector,\u201d states Raffaella Carabelli. \u201cTriggered by the government\u2019s commitment to enact a range of significant incentives for the Country\u2019s manufacturing system.\u201d<\/p>\n

Italian textile technology at CAITME 2017<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the upcoming edition of CAITME, to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from September 13 to September 15, 2017. 16 Italian textile machinery manufacturers will exhibit in the common area set up by the Italian Trade Agency and ACIMIT.<\/p>\n

Among these companies ACIMIT\u2019s associated members include; Beta Machinery, Car\u00f9, Cormatex, Durst, Ferraro, Mcs, Pozzi Leopoldo, Ramallumin, Ratti, Rite, Santex Rimar Group, Savio, Sicam, Smit, Stalam, Unitech.<\/p>\n

Uzbekistan is one of the largest producers and exporters of cotton. Its textile industry is a relevant driver for the national economy. Thanks to the raw material\u2019s availability and low production costs, the business conditions are favourable for the development of the local industry. The upgrading of installed equipment is considered a step to achieve this goal.<\/p>\n

In 2016, Italian exports amounted to 15 million euros, exceeding 2015 figures, with a 16% increase. Among the Italian machines most in demand by Uzbek textile companies are knitting machinery (62% of the overall total) and spinning machinery (24%).<\/p>\n
