Ismail Gulle has become the new president of Turkish Exporters Assembly after receiving 149 of 398 delegate\u2019s vote. G\u00fclle took over from Mehmet B\u00fcy\u00fckek\u015fi who said \u2018the time is for the guards to change\u2019. <\/strong><\/p>\n

O<\/strong>ne of Turkey’s leading textile manufactures, \u0130smail G\u00fclle was elected as the new president of Turkish Exporters Assembly (T\u0130M<\/a>). G\u00fclle declared victory after receiving 149 of 398 delegate\u2019s vote in the 25th<\/sup> general assembly of T\u0130M. After the election, G\u00fclle said; \u201cFrom now on, I will carry this responsibility in your best interest. The office will shrink, while the services will grow.\u201d In the general assembly of T\u0130M, which has approximately 71 thousand members, 27 industry council heads were also appointed as well.<\/p>\n

T\u0130M\u2019s 25th<\/sup> general assembly, held at the Golden Horn Cultural Center, saw a high level participation from the state protocol as well as the delegates. Tahsin \u00d6ztirkayi and O\u011fuz Sat\u0131c\u0131 competed besides \u0130smail G\u00fclle for the presidency. While \u00d6ztiryaki received 140 votes and Sat\u0131c\u0131 109, G\u00fclle got 149 votes and left behind his opponents. Thus he took over the T\u0130M Presidency fromMehmet B\u00fcy\u00fckek\u015fi, who has been in the presidency for 10 years. B\u00fcy\u00fckek\u015fi didn\u2019t join the race this time, and said \u2018the time is for the guards to change\u2019.<\/p>\n

The office will shrink, while the services will grow<\/strong><\/h1>\n

New T\u0130M President Ismail Gulle, said in his speech to the delegates after the election; \u201cFrom now on, I will carry this responsibility in your best interest. The office will shrink, while the services will grow. Nobody will stay outside of the game.\u201d G\u00fclle stated that he would make T\u0130M a very different institution as he promised; \u201cI have served in every position of T\u0130M for 20 years. We will be more powerful, proactive and creative from now on. The winner is the exporter.\u201d G\u00fclle defined their primary goals as; creating a vision for the breakthroughs that would bring the value of the export to 4 USD a kilogram.<\/p>\n

Who is Ismail Gulle?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u0130smail G\u00fclle was born in 1960 in Sivas, and completed his primary and secondary education in the same city. After his graduation from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 1982; G\u00fclle completed his specialization program at Istanbul University Business Administration Institute. In 1970, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of G\u00fclle Entegre Tekstil \u0130\u015fletmeleri A.\u015e.; which was founded by his father the late Halis G\u00fclle.<\/p>\n

\u0130smail G\u00fclle has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors between 2003 and 2018, following his duty as a member of Istanbul Textile<\/a> and Raw Materials Exporters Association (\u0130TH\u0130B) Board of Directors between 1999 and 2003. Handing the presidency of \u0130TH\u0130B over in the past month, G\u00fclle has been active in many commissions and subgroups within T\u0130M.<\/p>\n

Ismail Gulle, who has made significant contributions to education and cultural life in Sivas and its provinces, is married and has two children.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
