It was said \u2018we will not condemn our country to exchange rate by manufacturing more, exporting more\u2019 in the announced declaration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \u2018Production Export-Unity Declaration\u2019, which has the signature of 11 sectoral association and 5 unions of the apparel industry, was announced at a meeting at Four Season Hotel in Istanbul. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ihkib.org.tr\/tr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IHKIB<\/a> President Mustafa G\u00fcltepe made the declaration underlining that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/en\/invest-kazakhstan-market\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the industry<\/a> speaks with one voice. Stating that the attempts to lower the value of the Turkish Lira were followed with great confusion, G\u00fcltepe noted that the point where the exchange rates are could not be explained only by internal dynamics.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Mustafa G\u00fcltepe laid down the measures to be taken<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is indicated that a trade war is raging in the world and Turkey is trying to be turned into front in this war by its close ally for nearly 70 years and strategic partner US. The declaration continues as follows; \u201cWe cannot reconcile this initiative, which is completely speculative, directly targeting our country, our economy and therefore our people, with alliance and strategic partnership. We, as always, will continue to be and remain with our country, our government and our nation in this process. We are aware of our responsibilities as representatives of the apparel industry, which produces, exports and contributes 14 billion dollars annually to the closure of the current deficit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">G\u00fcltepe said that they knew their responsibilities as an industry and expressed their will to unite their strengths and to break records by raising their annual exports of 17 billion dollars to 19 billion dollars. G\u00fcltepe stated that their contribution to the closure of the current deficit will be 16 billion dollars. The measures to be taken; in order for the real economy to overcome the currency crisis with the least damage are as follows; \u201cestablishing tight monetary policy; putting measures to restrict trade in foreign currencies in the domestic market as soon as possible; early release of those who are punished for the exchange rate increase; removing the exchange rate pressure on exporters using foreign currency loan; protecting the production capacity of the real sector; etc.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Industry\u2019s full support to the declaration<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The following unions and associations signed the declaration shared with the public; \u0130stanbul Apparel Exporters\u2019 Association (\u0130HK\u0130B); Mediterranean Apparel Exporters\u2019 Association (AHK\u0130B); Denizli Exporters\u2019 Association (DEN\u0130B); Aegean Apparel Exporters\u2019 Association (EHK\u0130B); Uluda\u011f Apparel Exporters\u2019 Association (UHK\u0130B); United Brands Association (BMD); Merter Industrialists\u2019 and Businessmen&#8217;s Association (MESIAD); Turkish Clothing Manufacturer\u2019s Association (TGSD); Bayrampa\u015fa Textile Industrialist and Businessmen Association (BAT\u0130AD); Hosiery Manufacturers Association (\u00c7SD); Garment Sub-Industry Association (KYSD); Laleli Industrialists\u2019 and Businessmen\u2019s Association (LASIAD); Fashion Designers Association (MTD); Osmanbey Textile Businessmen Association (OT\u0130AD); All Lingerie Industrialists Association (T\u0130GSAD).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Important export and industry organizations of the Turkish apparel industry gave a common statement, declared by IHKIB President Mustafa G\u00fcltepe, of \u2018manufacturing more, exporting and unity\u2019 against the exchange rate storm.
