The textile machinery manufacturer Saurer<\/a> is presenting its new \u2018senses\u2019 control centre at ITMA ASIA CITME, China’s largest textile<\/a> exhibition.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Digital senses for bigger profits<\/strong><\/h1>\n

\u2018senses\u2019 is an innovative control and analysis tool that furnishes textile companies with digital senses: for more profits along the textile value added chain. The innovative Big Data system collects, aggregates and analyses the production, quality and machine data of the entire textile fabrication process across all locations. The valuable data is available to operators on the mill floor as well as mill and company management via an intuitive web interface and standardized ERP interfaces anywhere \u2013 even on the move.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s no life without senses\u201d, says Michael Nikolic, the responsible product manager in the Saurer Intelligent Enterprise Solution department (SIES). \u201cOur five senses are our gateway to the world. They help us to find our way around. They reveal to us both the big picture and the smallest details. We use them to find vital resources. They enable us to react in an instant when danger threatens or when a unique opportunity arises. Without our senses we would be lost. The same applies to companies. Without valid information, they lose their competitiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018senses\u2019 are the digital senses that a textile company needs to make use of raw materials, time, personnel, energy and capital efficiently and profitably. With \u2018senses\u2019, operators as well as mill and company management will discover new productivity potential and synergy effects. Anyone who has valid information about their own performance can establish advantageous partnerships and communicate successfully with the markets. \u2018senses\u2019 is the gateway to a new world of plannable success.<\/p>\n

Modular, non-proprietary and expandable<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The new software from Saurer is non-proprietary. It not only evaluates the production and quality data of Saurer textile machines, but also integrates machines from other manufacturers into the innovative information and control system.<\/p>\n

\u2018senses\u2019 is suitable for companies of all sizes. The software has a modular structure so that customers can book only the modules they need, cost-effectively. A convenient software shop turns software management into child’s play: New modules can be booked or cancelled at the click of a mouse.<\/p>\n

\u201cthe system knows no limits\u201d, says Michael Nikolic, \u00abbecause the system can be extended by new functions due to its modular design. With the help of increasingly intelligent algorithms, we can expand and improve the analysis and big data functions with each new version. We are developing \u2018senses\u2019 together with and for the textile industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

The basic system and the first modules of the system will be available from the first quarter of 2019. In the course of the next year, Saurer will then continuously release further modules in the \u2018senses\u2019 software shop.<\/p>\n

Saurer\u2019s sales revenue grows by 14% in the first half of 2018<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mrs Jenny Lu, Chief Financial Officer, says: \u201cFollowing a highly successful 2017, which saw the definition of Saurer\u2019s new corporate strategy, the group is entering a phase of organisational consolidation and slowing growth rates.<\/p>\n

Building on the exceptional growth seen in the previous financial year, we continue on our upward trajectory. Sales revenue has increased by 14% to RMB 4,627 million; and the group has achieved profits before tax of RMB 564 million (+23.8%); with a profit margin of 12.2%. The strong financials are reflective of our new strategy. It positions us as an innovative solutions provider with a customer-centric focus; that continues to yield strong results across key markets.<\/p>\n

China, for instance, delivered excellent growth of 55%. The new production facility in Urumqi, Xinjiang Province, has supplied the first 10 spinning machines; helping to meet the high level of demand. The group also inaugurated an original parts warehouse in the province. Being strategically positioned in this region; which is on the corridor connecting China to adjacent countries as part of the One Belt, One Road initiative; allows us to serve customers not just in the immediate vicinity but also in neighbouring markets.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
