The 8<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/en\/category\/trade-fairs\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">award<\/a> is organized by Uluda\u011f Textile Exporters\u2019 Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Turkey Exporters\u2019 Assembly (T\u0130M), and was held with the \u2018Migration\u2019 theme for the product design category.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With important names from textile and design industry; the jury evaluated a total of 205 applications; and Ezgi Vural was awarded the first prize in product design category with her project \u201cRe-Turn\u201d; Fatma Korkmaz was the runner up with her project \u201cGoing Back\u201d; while Ezgi \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu was awarded with third place with her project \u201cMultiverse\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">10 thousand TL, 7 thousand 500 TL, and 5 thousand TL monetary prize went to the winners respectively; while opportunities such as participation in the Heimtextil Frankfurt 2019 Fair; as well as in the RedDot Competition, Design Registration Right, Pattern Design Training; in order to contribute to their professional experiences and careers will also be provided. In addition, the finalists will have the opportunity to study abroad; if it is approved by the Ministry of Trade.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The industry gains new talent with\u00a0Home Textile Design Awards<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">UT\u0130B Board Member and 8<sup>th<\/sup> Home Textile Design Awards Committee Chairman Asl\u0131 T\u00fcrk\u00fcn Kara\u00e7or pointed out that a total of 1 thousand 907 applications were made to the competition held since 2011 and 126 people were awarded during this period. Kara\u00e7or said; \u201cThe biggest prize for us was that many of the competitors started their business lives as designers. In this context; I would like to announce here that we will continue to organize the \u2018Turkey Home Textile Design Awards\u2019; which creates the possibility of trend setting designs in home and interior textile; further opens up new opportunities for new talent and most importantly; provide awareness in all industry related \u00a0parties once more next year\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Saying that Turkey exports textile to a total of 196 countries and regions in 2017; Kara\u00e7or also underlined that the Turkish textile industry is no longer only diversify the market but diversifies the product as well. Kara\u00e7or stated that the studies to improve the R &amp; D design and innovation culture have contributed to this positive development.
