In the \u2018Scale up GOTS in Turkey\u2019 seminar planned for a full day (09.30-17.00), specialists, leaders, brands, social and chemical compliance experts, certification bodies and manufacturers as well as speakers from the global market that has implemented GOTS and set the standard will come together. The GOTS seminar aims to create the most appropriate environment to exchange experiences and ideas for the quality standardization of the industry.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Shedding light on the industry in 3 sessions<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The seminar includes 3 main sessions; in the first session, more information will be given about GOTS. Developments on GOTS and its work will be presented to the participants. Practical information on the use of complementary fibers on demand from the textile manufacturers and the use of GOTS logo from the consumer point of view will be presented. In this session, presentations by GOTS Marketing Manager Claudia Kersten &#8216;GOTS and Present Organic Textile&#8217;, GOTS Standards Development and Quality Assurance Deputy Director Sumit Gupta &#8216;GOTS Criteria and Requirements, Complementary Fibers Used in GOTS Products&#8217;, GOTS General Manager Rahul Bhajekar \u2018Product with or without GOTS Logo\u2019 will take place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second session is titled \u2018Opinions and sounds from the Turkish textile industry\u2019. In this session, interesting ideas from different sectors of the industry, including brands, manufacturers and certification bodies, will be discussed and debated. Williams Sonoma, who works with H &amp; M, Nike, C &amp; A and Inditex as the voice of fashion, will be invited as a panellist. Williams will focus on supply trends for organic textiles, minimizing the impact on the environment and improving the lives of people in the supply chain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There will be 4 Turkish manufacturers to be the voice of the manufacturers. Mukkadder \u00d6zden (Simurg Tasar\u0131m), Burak Sertba\u015f (Demoteks), \u00d6zge \u00c7ubuk\u00e7uo\u011flu Yal\u00e7\u0131n (Egedeniz Tekstil) and Mehmet \u00d6z\u00e7\u00f6rek\u00e7i (Sanko). Local markets and Turkish organic textile market will be talked and GOTS certified manufacturers will share their experiences. Regarding certification organizations, Mustafa Aky\u00fcz (ETKO), \u00d6zlem \u00d6zkan (USB); An\u0131l Noyin (Control Union Turkey) and Ebru Tarman (IMO-Ecocert) will be speaking.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Organic textiles<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the last session of the GOTS seminar, participants are invited to an interactive session. In this session with the concept of \u2018A World Caf\u00e9\u2019; the participants will talk about the different subjects that they want. These include; ways to increase GOTS manufacturers&#8217; links with consumer markets; the needs of the regional supply chain from the GOTS standard and system; is the domestic consumer market ready for GOTS products; what can be done to increase the participation of the textile supply chain at all levels; better supply chain links in the regional organic textile industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">GOTS, which has been organizing international and regional events since 2015; is a non-profit and self-financing organization; that is established to globally determine the standards in organic textiles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Scale up GOTS in Turkey\u2019 seminar organized by GOTS will discuss organic textiles, quality and standards in Turkish textile industry.
