Dornbirn-GFC 2019, the world&#8217;s largest fiber innovation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dornbirn-gfc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">convention<\/a>, is expected to include about 700 participants from 35 nations. 70% of the participants are expected to come from Europe and 30% from Asia and America. 50 new companies participated last year, and it is expected that the same trend will continue this year. A \u201cStartup\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/en\/category\/trade-fairs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Event<\/a> in cooperation with the consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), will be organized for young companies during this Dornbirn-GFC edition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As generator of ideas and networks, the main themes of Dornbirn-GFC 2019 consist of subjects such as; fiber innovations, circular economy and recycling, digitalization and smart textiles, surface modification and additives, sports and leisure wear, nonwovens and technical textiles.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>More than 100 expert lectures at Dornbirn-GFC 2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A CEO panel and a panel discussion on digitalization will accompany the expert lectures of more than 100 international speakers at Dornbirn-GFC 2019. Austria\u2019s federal minister of Digital and Economic Affairs as well as high-level industry leaders of Lenzing, Indorama Ventures, Oerlikon, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, PwC and others are looking forward to a highly interesting discussion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In cooperation with PwC, 50 \u201cStartups\u201d will be invited and given the opportunity to present their business models in Dornbirn. Due to its success, the \u201cYoung Scientist Forum\u201d will also be performed for the fourth time. The workshop will take place on September 10, 2019, under the leadership of the industrial consultancy SYNGROUP. The purpose, inter alia, is to enhance and enable a network amongst young scientists. Because of the vast interest from industry and trade and the strong support of the EU Commission; \u201cCircular Economy\u201d is a focal point this year again.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Congress\u2019 international cooperation is on the rise <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In recent years, various cooperation have been initiated in order to support and promote the Dornbirn-GFC. These efforts will be extended in 2019. In this context, The Dornbirn-GFC organizes a symposium on \u201cSustainable Fiber Innovations and Applications\u201d; at the Messe Frankfurt\u2019s Techtextil Forum on May 17, 2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another cooperation is with EDANA. EDANA; an international association of nonwovens manufacturers; supports the Dornbirn-GFC very constructively through the organization of highly qualitative lectures from the nonwovens industry; as well as enabling the participation of young scientists of the industry in the \u201cYoung Scientist Forum\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">TAPPI, which is a big US based \u201cLearning &amp; Networking\u201d organization for the industry is cooperating with Dornbirn-GFC in the promotion of the congress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The fiber industry will both discuss innovation and have the opportunity to strengthen the sectoral network at Dornbirn-GFC 2019.
