This campaign aims to increase the overall availability of Tyvek personal protective garment in the company&#8217;s efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 and protect healthcare workers. With full capacity, this initiative can provide 6 million additional non-surgical isolation gowns per month. Thus, the coronavirus-fighting front line can be further protected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">John Richard, Vice President and General Manager, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dupont.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DuPont<\/a> Security Solutions said; \u201cThere\u2019s a critical need for protective apparel, and we believe that working with other companies to convert their existing cut-and-sew manufacturing capacity to protective garment fabrication is the fastest way to protect more people\u201d. Richard continued saying; \u201cOur dedicated employees around the world are working 24\/7 to make more Tyvek\u00ae material and patterns available to more organizations, working together to protect those who are protecting us\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DuPont has invested in equipment and technology to significantly increase its production of Tyvek\u00ae and Tychem\u00ae garments globally to meet the ever-increasing demand for personal protection equipment (PPE). Since January the company have increased production of Tyvek\u00ae garments by more than 9 million garments per month specifically for COVID-19 response, which is more than double the amount produced for any prior crisis.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_36913\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-36913\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-36913 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/dupont-detail.jpg\" alt=\"DuPont Tyvek Fabric\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/dupont-detail.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/dupont-detail-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/dupont-detail-696x392.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/dupont-detail-1068x601.jpg 1068w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-36913\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">DuPont Tyvek Fabric<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A new fabric has been created: Tyvek style 1222A<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The #TyvekTogether Program will introduce a new specialized Tyvek\u00ae <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/en\/category\/technical-textiles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fabric<\/a> to enable an increase; in the amount of garment production for the COVID-19 response to 15 million garments a month. The new program includes the following components;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>A new #TyvekTogether fabric, Tyvek\u00ae style 1222A; that has similar barrier properties to the core DuPontTM Tyvek\u00ae 400 garment offerings; with adjusted fabric drape and hand to optimize material usage.<\/li>\n<li>Tyvek\u00ae style 1222A is available in roll-good form to existing and new customers; with available cut-and-sew capabilities to increase the total amount of Tyvek\u00ae garments available as quickly as possible.<\/li>\n<li>DuPont will provide garment designs\u2014including patterns and virtual manufacturing support; for a non-surgical isolation gown and a coverall that are optimized for simple and productive manufacturing. With these patterns and technical assistance; they aim to accelerate the speed that new converters are able to begin producing PPE.<\/li>\n<li>Partners can also use their own designs for coveralls and garments to meet local needs.<\/li>\n<li>Additionally, DuPont will donate more than 57,000 Tyvek coveralls directly to the states in the US most impacted by COVID-19.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The DuPont Personal Protection unit of DuPont Safety &amp; Construction remains committed to helping to protect those who protect others, especially as they strive to protect the dedicated workers on the front lines fighting COVID-19.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DuPont has launched a new program called #TyvekTogether.
