Kordsa, a subsidiary of Sabanc\u0131 Holding and reinforcement solutions specialist<\/a>, received approval from The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) for its sustainability<\/a> roadmap along with its 2030 targets. In this context, Kordsa will reduce its emissions from production, while increasing the rate of renewable energy use, and thereby reduce its emissions by 46.2 percent until 2030. Established in partnership with CDP, United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), SBTi aims to mobilize the private sector to lead urgent climate action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kordsa will also transform its supply chain ecosystem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In accordance with the targets approved by SBTi, Kordsa will reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 46.2 percent until 2030, taking 2019 as the base year. Taking steps to mobilize the supply chain ecosystem, the company also announced that they have started working on the transition of critical raw material suppliers to a low carbon economy by 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n
