Bursa Technical University <\/a>(BTU) has entered the second stage for the textile sector<\/a> in the \u2018Problem Solution Market\u2019 organised as a first in T\u00fcrkiye. In this context, the introductory meeting was held before and this time, the representatives of the textile sector were brought together around the solution tables with BTU’s academicians who are specialists in their fields. BTU Rector Prof. Dr. Naci \u00c7a\u011flar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sinan Uyan\u0131k, Bursateknopark General Manager Prof. Dr. Ay\u015fe Bedelo\u011flu, academicians, 30 representatives from Polyteks Tekstil, Durak Tekstil, Harput Tekstil, Elyaf Tekstil, Rudolf Duraner and Elyaf Tekstil attended the Problem Solution Market meeting for the textile sector organised by the University-Industry Cooperation Development Application and Research Center (BT\u00dc-SAN). While the companies conveyed the problems they face in R&D, P&D, design, production, innovation and quality, academicians who are specialists in their fields suggested solutions to these problems. In addition, EU projects that is possible to be developed were also discussed at the meeting.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the programme, BTU Rector Prof. Dr. Naci \u00c7a\u011flar stated the importance of the sector-specific problem solution market, which was organised for the first time in T\u00fcrkiye: \u2018The main purpose of our event is to produce solutions to the problems faced by our industrial stakeholders in the textile sector, which is one of the leading sectors of our city, in processes such as R&D, P&D, design, production, innovation, quality, etc. with academician-industry cooperation, to support the sector with academic reason and to realize new projects together,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n

Following the speeches of Rector \u00c7a\u011flar, Bursateknopark General Manager Prof. Dr. Ay\u015fe Bedelo\u011flu gave information about Teknopark and the Technology and Transfer Office. Prof. Dr. Bedelo\u011flu evaluated the developments in the textile sector from her point of view and handled topics such as sustainability, sustainable textiles, materials used in the sector, and innovations in the textile sector.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme continued with academician-industry meetings for problem-solving. In this context, separate tables were created for each company. In line with the demands of company representatives; solutions were suggested by academicians to the problems they face in their current processes such as R&D, P&D, design, production, innovation, test-analysis, and quality. A calendar will be created for the processes related to the meetings where problems such as EU project supports, smart textiles, artificial intelligence in the textile sector, data processing, sustainability, waste management, wastewater treatment, biodegradability, textile chemicals, innovative processes and commercialisation, technical textiles, environmental solutions were discussed. According to the calendar, action will be taken with the projects to be developed for the solution of the problems.
