In order to standardise green transformation in industry, the Ministry<\/a> of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change will encourage green production in order to obtain the \u2018Green Transformation Certificate in Industry\u2019 classified from F to A. The \u2018Regulation on the Management of Industrial Emissions\u2019 prepared by the Ministry in order to encourage clean and environmentally<\/a> friendly production in industry was published in the Official Gazette. With the \u2018Green Transformation Certificate in Industry\u2019 to be issued within the scope of the Regulation, the environmental performance status of industrial facilities will be determined within the framework of internationally recognised best available techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are approximately 6 thousand facilities in sectors such as energy, metal, mineral, chemistry, waste management and textile, automotive, leather, paper, food, livestock. These facilities will be classified from A to F according to the use of the best available techniques, from compliance of 100 percent to 50 percent. The reporting in the certification process will be carried out by experts and persons authorised by the Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be ensured that the competitiveness of industrialists certified according to their environmental performance will be increased in the international market. Environmentally friendly production processes will become widespread in industry, and the use of innovative and clean technologies will be prioritised. In addition, domestic technology production will be supported, contributing to employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to green finance will be facilitated<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, the Ministry will facilitate access to green financing opportunities for investment needs arising for green technology. Industrial facilities in need of investment will be able to benefit from 416.7 million dollars of financing resources through the Development and Investment Bank of T\u00fcrkiye, within the scope of the Industrial Emissions Reduction Project in T\u00fcrkiye, which is guided by the World Bank with the initiatives of the Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n

The EU has identified the textile and garment sector as one of the priority areas due to the impacts of climate change. In this context, the \u2018Sustainable and Circular Textile Strategy\u2019 is expected to be implemented by the end of this year and mandatory practices are expected to be put into effect by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the strategy, it is aimed to ensure that the textile products to be offered to the market are long-lasting and recyclable, do not contain chemicals harmful to the environment, are largely produced from recycled fibres without harming social rights and the environment, end the fast fashion trend, expand the opportunities for reuse and repair, and increase the innovative fibre-to-life recycling capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
