It is stated that this will accelerate the global expansion of the K\u00f6ksan Group\u2019s production capacity.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is announced that as part of this comprehensive cooperation agreement, K\u00f6ksan will invest a high triple-digit million Chinese Yuan amount in the coming years. The new plant will be in the Yangkou Chemical Industrial Park, Rudong County, Nantong, China. K\u00f6ksan will be setting up its plant with a production capacity of 2.2-million-tons-per-year \u2018green\u2019 polyester new materials for the packaging industry. The first phase of this project has now been officially launched, and it has been announced that production is scheduled to start in mid-2026.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-koksan-will-become-one-of-the-global-giants-in-polyester-production-for-the-packaging-industry\"><strong>\u201cK\u00f6ksan will become one of the global giants in polyester production for the packaging industry\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Murat K\u00f6ko\u011flu, CEO of K\u00f6ksan stated that they are convinced that this investment will be a major step for their company\u2019s future; \u201cIt is our first investment in China and one of the largest industrial investments by a Turkish company in this area of industry in China. Upon the completion and full operation of this project, K\u00f6ksan will become one of the global giants in polyester production for the packaging industry,\u201d he said.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zhong Ming, General Manager of Oerlikon Barmag Huitong Engineering said that they are very pleased that K\u00f6ksan has chosen their innovative CP technology: \u201cThis is further proof of our capabilities in the field of polymerization technologies.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-latest-cp-technology-from-oerlikon-barmag-huitong-engineering\"><strong>Latest CP technology from Oerlikon Barmag Huitong Engineering<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The project adopts the advanced five-reactors process and tailor-made equipment of Barmag\u2019s joint venture partner OBHE. Using purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and ethylene glycol (MEG) as raw materials, it produces high-viscosity chips through the direct esterification and continuous polycondensation process technology route.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As one of T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s leading companies in the PET and plastic packaging sector, K\u00f6ksan exports to more than 100 countries and maintains its investments abroad. K\u00f6ksan is an international investor with operations in China, Senegal, Libya, and Iraq.
