Although all parties need to take transformational steps for lasting change, it is underlined that real progress must start with farmers. In this context, the conference will address how to build more equitable income structures, decent work, regenerative practices and resilience to climate change from the ground up. Over sixty speakers, in addition to four keynote speakers, will take part in two days featuring dynamic presentations and impressive panel discussions. In addition to physical participation, the conference will also be available online.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-better-cotton-conference-to-discuss-the-sustainability-of-cotton-in-practic-e\"><strong>Better Cotton Conference to discuss the sustainability of cotton in <b>practic<\/b>e\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Speakers will include farmers, NGO leaders and business innovators from across the cotton <a href=\"https:\/\/www.textilegence.com\/en\/category\/topical\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sector<\/a>. Engaging narratives and field-level insights will be presented to discuss what sustainability in cotton means in practice.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The themes for this year;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promoting Equity: A Fairer Future for Agricultural Communities&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restoring the Environment: Turning Climate Commitments into Action&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leveraging Data for Greater Impact: Unlocking Insights for a Stronger Cotton Industry&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shaping Our Future: Policy, Collaboration and Industry Development&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keynote speakers include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lavinia Muth, (Un)Sustainability: Speaker, Consultant, Provocateur, Mentor&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael Kobori, Independent Board Director, and Sustainability Advisor&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tori Tsui, Climate activist and writer&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christian Hudson, Lead for Global Textile Transparency Governance, GIZ International Services&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keynote speeches will be followed by interactive discussions designed to inspire meaningful action and tackle key industry challenges.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, two special field trips will be organized with conference partners U\u00e7ak Tekstil and Tanmanlar Tar\u0131m \u00c7iftli\u011fi, allowing participants to explore the sustainable practices shaping the cotton and textile sectors in T\u00fcrkiye.
