The brand presented a complete packaging solution: a jar and lid crafted entirely from orange peel-based ReKrill\u00ae\ufe0f. Selected to compete for the LUXE PACK Green Award, this prototype embodies the core values of circular design. It turns overlooked by-products into refined, desirable objects, showing how luxury can evolve without losing its essence.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entirely derived from non-edible and underused resources, ReKrill\u00ae\ufe0f is 100% recycled, biodegradable, compostable, even in marine environments, and engineered to offer the technical reliability of traditional plastics without their environmental burden. It can also be milled, polished, sanded and processed using conventional manufacturing techniques, while delivering successful functional and aesthetic performance. In addition to luxury packaging, it can be used also in many sectors from electronics to fashion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-rekrill-the-fully-fruit-based-next-generation-biopolymer-for-luxury-packaging-nbsp\"><strong>ReKrill\u00ae: the fully fruit-based next generation biopolymer for luxury packaging<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It was produced as the result of years of research and a radical idea: that natural and industrial by-products, such as citrus peels, coffee grounds, wine residues and bran, can be transformed into elegant, high-performance materials for the luxury world. It differentiates from many first-generation bioplastics on the market, which are derived from food crops (e.g., corn starch) and may require industrial composting conditions, by making from only the non-edible parts of food such as peels or shells, ensuring no competition with agricultural resources.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ReKrill\u00ae, fully biodegradable and compostable &#8211; even in marine environments \u2013 leaving no microplastics or toxic residues, have also benefits in terms of carbon savings. It provides up to 67% fewer CO\u2082 emissions compared to conventional plastics.
