As summer draws to a close, Textilegence has compiled the latest developments in the textile<\/a>, apparel, and printing industries from T\u00fcrkiye and around the world. While the industry continues its activities for a sustainable transformation, preparations for the new season have also begun with the arrival of autumn.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s textile and apparel industry, declines in exports and employment persist and concordats are being announced one after another, while on the other hand, positive news such as government incentives and new investments continue to emerge. Among the key highlights: T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s textile and apparel exports dropped to 15 billion dollars in the first seven months of the year. Exporters received good news of 62 billion lira in financial support for 2025. The share of textile and apparel companies in the ISO 1000 list fell to 12%. New investments will be supported under the Local Development Initiative Program. KCG Tekstil expanded its goals in Egypt with an additional 24-million-dollar investment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to T\u00fcrkiye, new technological developments, investments, and trade fair preparations continue in the global textile industry: ALC will integrate ten Rieter Autoconer X6 machines\u2014equipped with Preci FX, a software-controlled yarn movement system\u2014into its facilities. Durak Tekstil, participating for the first time after the pandemic, will showcase its technical threads developed for occupational safety and health at A+A 2025 D\u00fcsseldorf, highlighting its R&D and brand strength on the global stage. Zimmer is set to surprise visitors with its new design at ITMA + CITME Singapore. The challenges of producing yarn from recycled fibers and the role of the latest technologies in sustainable yarn production were discussed at a session hosted by Uster. swissQprint America has broken ground on a new, modern facility in Chicago, Illinois. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Standard has launched a public consultation process for the new voluntary sustainability framework, the Global Responsible Textile Standard (GRTS). Textile Exchange has released its new guideline on regenerative agriculture. The Clean Clothes Campaign invites all the people to share their thoughts in co-writing the Fashion\u2019s Just Transition Manifesto. Meanwhile, TGSD issued a statement on the Climate Law, advising apparel and garment manufacturers to take immediate steps toward transformation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
