Sustainability Talks Istanbul will bring together stakeholders from across the textile sector for the sixth time, uniting them around the theme of sustainability. The event, to be held on December 9 at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus, will feature discussions centered on circular economy and traceability. Organized in partnership with Orbit Consulting and Kipaş Textiles, and with strategic support from the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (İTHİB), this year’s corporate partner is Aster Textile, known for transforming supply chains through measurable sustainability criteria.

The conference will open with remarks from İTHİB Chairperson Ahmet Öksüz, followed by a CEO session, international brand presentations, five main panels, and Spotlight sessions. At the event, Mavi’s sustainability transformation vision will be presented by Cüneyt Yavuz; ON’s circular design and performance approach will be shared by Danielle Petesic; and Lacoste’s responsible production strategies will be outlined by Raynald Anquet. Kering—one of the leading forces in the global luxury ecosystem with brands including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, and Balenciaga—will discuss its nature-positive and measurable impact strategies through Caterina Tonda. ARMEDANGELS, known for radical transparency and ethical design, will be represented by Sarah Vollmer, while IKEA, a pioneer in circularity and reusable, scalable global strategies, will take part in a special Spotlight session with Calvin Woolley. EURATEX Director General Dirk Vantyghem will also speak during the CEO session, highlighting the crucial role of policy and industry associations in sector-wide transformation.

As part of ongoing international collaborations, the Netherlands will be represented by Friso Pietersen from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and Finland by Marja-Liisa Permikangas from the Fashion and Textile Association (STJM). Christina Iskov, Impact Director at Global Fashion Agenda, and Jasmin Malik Chua, Climate & Labor Editor at Sourcing Journal—both prominent voices in the global sustainability agenda—will further strengthen the event’s international strategic dialogue.
