DeFacto, which launched the Apple Leather collection under the roof of DeFacto Life last year, will continue to increase the number of its products manufactured with recycled materials or materials obtained from sustainable sources in 2023. Operating in 93 countries, the Türkiye-based clothing retail brand’s newest collection in sustainability will be a vegan leather collection produced from plant-based materials that undergo a comprehensive R&D process. Aiming to become a climate-positive brand by 2050, the brand’s goal is to create 90% of its collections from sustainable products by 2030.

DeFacto will reduce paper use by 80 percent with Digital Sales Document

In addition to introducing its vegan leather collection in the new year, the famous clothing brand announced that it will digitise paper sales documents with the Digital Sales Document. It is aimed to save approximately 1 million TL by reducing paper use by 80% and to prevent the cutting of 420 trees by saving 21 tonnes of paper use per year with this application. The brand will both save time and significantly reduce the use of paper by delivering Digital Sales Documents to its customers in 1-2 seconds in order to respond to the developing technology and increasing demand for technology in the best way. The Digital Sales Document application, which is currently being piloted in 5 stores, is planned to be implemented in all stores throughout Türkiye in 2023.

DeFacto Online General Manager Önder Şenol stated that they will continue to bring sustainability together with technology at DeFacto and expressed that they are extremely proud and happy to announce the Digital Sales Document, one of the most innovative projects they have implemented with the slogan ‘Sustainable Fashion’. DeFacto, a signatory of the Global Compact and the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) based on the United Nations Global Compact and a member of the Better Cotton Initiative, fulfils its commitments on both social and environmental issues. The brand, which stands out with its sustainable collection produced from recycled materials in women’s and men’s categories, has a wide range of products in various styles from coats to knitwear cardigans, and sweatshirts to oversized sweaters.
