KYOCERA Bilgitas Turkey Becomes Completely Japanese

KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc. has acquired the remaining 40% share in a local distributor of KYOCERA products in Turkey, Bilgitas Büro Makinalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. after the initial acquisition of 60% share in 2015 and reinforced its position in the market. Thereby, the company became a 100% Japanese firm.

The establisher of Bilgitas Büro Makinalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. Habib Pisan sold his remaining 40% share in the company to the Japanese firm as of June 1, 2016. Having enormous contribution to the current success and leading position in the market, Pişan believes that the company will reach more advanced levels via the support from employees in the coming term. KYOCERA Bilgitaş Turkey will continue to trade as a 1005 Japanese capital company following the recent share acquisition.

KYOCERA Bilgitaş Turkey plans to instill KYOCERA philosophy to the employees, making Turkey an export hub and reinforcing Bilgitas’ existing strong sales channel to present KYOCERA multifunctional copy machines and printers to more users as main targets.

First Step was Taken in 2015

KYOCERA Document Solutions had become a partner to the local distributor in Turkey, Bilgitas Büro Makinalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. in 2015 via acquiring a share of 60%. This partnership which started with the acquisition was announced on December 4, 2015 during a sign ceremony at Esma Sultan Mansion with participation of KYOCERA Document Solutions Global Sales General Manager Sho Taniguchi, European President Takahiro Sato, Bilgitas Chairman Habib Pişan and KYOCERA Bilgitas General Manager Murat Ada.

KYOCERA Holding is among the largest holdings of the world with 68.000 employees and over Euro11 billion of turnover. The company aims to make Turkey as a regional export hub for KYOCERA and grow. Bilgitas, which achieved more than Euro30 billion of turnover in 2014, has been in cooperation with KYOCERA since 1986.
