Turkish textile manufacturers participated in Heimtextil and Premierevision NewYork fairs

Attending Heimtextil 2018 and Premierevision New York in January, Turkish Textile Manufacturers showed global market not to be taken lightly on the competition. 

The most important fairs of textile and ready-to-wear industry are still held in European markets. Turkish textile manufacturers, having a strong production capacity, take their places in the competition by attending these fairs. Organized in Germany; Heimtextil 2018 and Premiere Vision New York held in USA constitutes two of the most important points.

Held in Frankfurt, home and contract textiles fair Heimtextil was attende by 257 Turkish companies this year whereas 245 companies attend last year. Turkish companies exhibited their collections in the fair in order to reach the 4 billion USD export goal in 2023. Several innovative products and solutions; such as bed sheetings, blankets, carpets, curtains, bathroom textiles and wall papers gathered great attention from the visitors.

Denizli Exporters’ Association (DENİB) attended the fair under Turkish Towels brand. DENİB President Süleyman Kocasert did not leave the Turkish textile manufacturers alone and pointed out to the success of Turkish towel in exports; “We were often addressing that 2018 would be even more effective than an already export wise positive 2017. Success of Heimtextil for our visitors was a clue for 2018.”

98 Bursa centred company has attended the fair with Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association’s (UTİB) lead. UTİB and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) were successful in increasing the attention to new collections by setting up a trend area.

Turkish textile manufacturers were at New York

In January, another stop for the Turkish textile manufacturers was USA between 16 – 17 Januarys. 34 Turkish companies attended this year’s Premierevision New York showcasing clothing fabric, leather, accessory products and ready-to-wear products. Attending Turkish textile companies were shown a lot of interest in the Turkey Promotion Booth designed by UTİB as a flowers shop.

UTİB Vice Chairman of the Board Pınar Taşdelen Engin; “Premiere Vision New York provided us a USA market potential review to us. We were observed clearly that Turkish textile has started to gain importance and rise to prominence in USA. Turkish fashion and design has become the centre of attention of American consumers. Premiere Vision New York, that we are attending as a national association for 7 years now; increases Turkish textile industry’s influence on the American market.”
