Konica Minolta Increases Competitive Capacity of Textile Manufacturers

Konica Minolta provided its Nassenger 10and Nassenger SP-1digital print systems to İlay Tekstil which is one of the most important textile businesses of Turkey.

One of the leader brands of digital print sector, Konica Minolta shows a rapid development in Turkish textile industry with its solutions for digital textile printing. Drawing attention especially for its Nassenger series, the firm promises a fast and quality print to textilers. One of the companies chose Konica Minolta solutions, is İlay Tekstil which is among the leading integrated textile facilities of Bursa. Being one of the first firms investing on digital printing in the sector where rotary screen printing is dominant, İlay Tekstil started its successful process by buying Nassenger 10 and Nassenger SP-1 of Konica Minolta.

Having an integrated structure with weaving, knitting, dying, finishing, printing and garment segments, İlay Tekstil exports more than 80% of its manufacturing to abroad. Owned by businessman and Bursaspor President Ali Ay, the firm continued its development with very serious growth raise in recent years. İlay Tekstil whose 70% of sales including garment and fabric, consist of printed productions, developed its facility constantly with technology-oriented vision. Konica Minolta investment came true as a part of this development.

Stating that they are performing a feasibility study for transforming from traditional rotary screen printing to digital printing, İlay Tekstil Firm Manager Fikri Savaş expressed these; “Rotation printing can be more effective than digital printing after 5000 meters offers to each version. However, with the decreasing print volume, increasing variety, fast fashion trend and because of colour, pattern and print preparation processes the print unit cost stayed very high. Despite that, digital printing became very competitive with its flexibility and eliminated preparation processes. That’s the reason why, in 2010 we made the first digital textile print investment in Bursa. After that, we increased our speed, product variety and quality with total 6 digital printing machines in our facility. ”

New Force in Textile Printing; Single Pass

Saying that there is a trend on single pass for a more effective and faster digital printing in global market; Fikri Savaş announced that they evaluated Konica Minolta solutions at ITMA 2015 fair in detail. Expressing thusly;  “We made Nassenger 10 and Nassenger SP-1 investment in 2016 since Konica Minolta offered us the most suitable solution”; Savaş said that they observed the machine and its production in detail by going to Japan during that process. Savaş said thusly; “Konica Minolta desired to grow in Turkish textile market with  single pass as well; the willingness of two firms turned into a successful investment. There is no escape from this development in digital print segment, otherwise we can’t compete. ”

Saying that Nassenger 10 and Nassenger SP-1 bringing high resolution and speed; work in a way to complete each other, Fikri Savaş continued thusly; “We can take a sample from one machine and we can mass manufacture it in the other one. Nassenger 10 with it sprint speed of 580m2 an hour has high efficiency. For print speed of 2000/3000 man hour, Nassenger SP-1 proved itself as an ideal solution. The results we got after the investment made us very happy”. Announcing that they are progressing to turn their all printing processes to digital; thanks to the effective results they received; Savaş stated that they are preparing both their facilites and their staff for this transformation.

Konica Minolta Nassenger 10 and Nassenger SP-1

Reminding that the blockage in print heads can lead to production halts and errors; Savaş emphasized that in Nassenger 10 and Nassenger SP-1 the other side nozzles continued the production in the same quality; by releasing bigger granule in case of a blocked-up nozzle. Saying that it is important to make a complete investment from a single source, Savaş said these; “The machine, print head and dye were provided by only one source which is Konica Minolta. Thusly, in case of a problem they are our only addressee. Technical team of Konica Minolta minimizes production halts by responsing our all demands very fast. ”

Saying that the market demands fast production, quality product and a reasonable price; Fikri Savaş highlighted that they became more assertive in digital printing with Konica Minolta investment. Savaş completed thusly; “It used to take 10 days to 2 weeks to deliver a product whereas with Nassenger SP-1; the printing and delivering actualise between 3-5 days at most when everything goes right. The quality, on the other hand reaches colour and pattern richness higher than the rotation. The removal of preparation process and the flexible production made our prices competitive. Shortly, we made an investment opens doors to new opportunities. ”
