Demonstrating their latest innovations for Turkish printing industry at FESPA Eurasia 2017, Roland DG underlines their commitment to the market. They expect a growth, especially in UV in 2018.

Digital printing technology global brand Roland DG welcomed printing professionals from Turkish and regional markets in their booth at FESPA Eurasia 2017. Attending the exhibition with a booth concept that shows their brand power, the booth was divided into four sections; UV products, Printing, P&C, and textile solutions. The firms underlines their belief in Turkish printing market’s potential.

Roland DG gained great acclaim with their heavily demanded products and their innovative solutions from regional digital printing markets mainly Turkey. Talking about the applications showcased in their booth Roland DG Mid Europe Marketing Department Manager Yoshihiro Tate said; “We highlighted the high valued innovative applications with special effect and texture that customer could touch and feel it with their hand. And also innovative live demo; was done with wide variety of media and object with UV technology including material/object, furniture, gadget, and so on”.

UV section included one of new model from the latest UV flatbed series (LEC-330S-F200) as well as UV benchtop printer (LEF Series). Printing section included EcoSol based printer and also innovative technology; but yet cost efficient solution (EJ-640, RF-640/ ID-64) met the visitors. In the Print & Cut section with new high spec cutting plotter (GR-540) and also new generation of Print & Cut devices, TrueVIS series (SG-540, VG-640) gathered the attention. And lastly in the Textile section; Dye-sublimation including high volume production printer (XT-640) and innovative technology; were displayed in restricted area for private show.

Roland DG satisfied with visitor quality   

Yoshihiro Tate would say the most prominent products and application during the exhibition was new UV flatbed printer (LEC-330S-F200). Tate; “Which was premier in the region and we acquired significant attraction and incredible feedback from visitors due to; its extensive capability with wide variety of substrates and also object and also live demo with special effect of multilayer gloss and real texture printing on furniture and gadgets attracted the visitors greatly.”

Expressing a fewer than expected visitor number during the FESPA Eurasia 2017; Yoshihiro Tate however underlined their satisfaction about the quality, seriousness, and eagerness of visitors. Tate; “There were also large number of visitors from abroad especially; surrounded countries of Turkey and also middle east countries; which gave us  further opportunity considering exposure of our brand presence in other country.” Tate said their visitors were from very wide variety of sectors including; traditional Sign& graphic, gift/promotional, textile, industrial and they had very effective meetings all together.

Turkish market was badly affected from recent developments

Reviewing Turkish market, Yoshihiro Tate said; the country situation as Turkey in terms of economic and politic has somewhat affected the business sector obviously with reduction of sales as an entire market. Stating they monitored this effect especially after military coup in 2016; Tate argued however since 2017 they saw more stability in the situation through the course of the year respect to before.

Underlining their belief in Turkish printing market’s potential, Tate continued saying; “In Turkish market, we consider digital printing sector has been increasing rapidly and steadily and; there is a huge space and potential for digitalization. From Roland DG perspective; the year 2017 was concluded successfully despite of the situation; but the most important aspect of 2017 was our customer were willing to invest to grow and to recover from the hard moment in the market. Customer demands started to reach the old level. We can see from new purchases and investments.”

Demand to UV products will increase in 2018

Roland DG’s P&C products are always demanded due to their quality, durability, and return on investment advantages according to Yoshihiro Tate, he goes on expressing a greater demand in UV products will be seen in 2018; “Benchtop UV printers (LEF series) will create great opportunity and also; we believe the timing of releasing the new UV flatbed/belt printer (LEC/LEJ-S series) was the right moment due to its capability and uniqueness. It definitely gives an advantage and; added value to certainly to our customer’s work, so we are expecting another successful operation year in 2018. We will be closer to our customers this year.”
