With the leadership of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), representatives of textile and furniture sectors searched for the ways of developing and improving new business contacts by attending to fairs held in Dubai and Italy.

The Project of Improving International Competitiveness (Ur-Ge) supported by Ministry of Economy and BTSO Global Fair Agent, guide companies to spread throughout the world. Coming together under the brand of BURTEX within the scope of textile Ur-Ge project, the firms attended to International Garment Fabrics and Textile Fair held in Dubai with booths.While the fair became very effective for sector representatives, the firms made 260 business meetings during the fair. Almost every company left the fair satisfied where one of every 3 business meetings resulted in order.

Companies’s Competitive Identities Get Stronger

BTSO Board Management Vice President İsmail Kuş reported that fair buying and selling committee organisations; which are held within the scope of Textile Ur-Ge, strengthen sector representatives’  competitive identities. Kuş stated that boothed fair attendence occured in Dubai in April; after the fair organisation held in Morocco in March caused companies to develop new business contacts. Saying that BTSO supports export-based development of the sector with its projects, Kuş continued thusly; “Our Ministry of Economy has significant supports for our companies. These supports contribute a great deal to the competitive identity of our companies. As BTSO, I congratulate our companies who are working for ‘Turkey Grows If Bursa Grows’ vision; by attending to our Ur-Ge project,  for the performance they showed .”

On the other side; within the scope of Global Fair Agent Project, the furniture sector representatives made a presence to Italy, Milano; with the supports of BTSO and KOSGEB. BTSO members who went to Salone Del Mobile Fair, evaluated the new trends and designs in furniture sector. Bursa committee also visited Global Tradesmen Confederation.
