Bräcker combines quality and speed in spinning with ORBIT

Change Language

Bräcker, one of the leading partners of the textile industry, enables spinners to make fast production without compromising quality, with the ORBIT ring-traveler system. While providing superior quality with the highest possible production speed plays a fundamental role in the success of ring spinning mills, the choice of ring-traveler is also of great importance at this point. When the spindle speed is increased, the friction power between the ring and the traveler, and thus the heat generation increases exponentially. The C-shaped travelers can be therefore thermally damaged and fail at high speeds. ORBIT, which makes it possible to reach very high speeds over 23,000 rpm without compromising on quality, offers an effective solution at this point with its wide scope of applications for all fibre types and yarn counts between Ne 20 and Ne 80.

ORBIT minimizes fibre thermal damage

ORBIT features a large contact surface between ring and traveler, which is four to five times bigger than the surface of a T-flange ring. While this drastically reduces the pressure and thus the heat generation, it also provides more stable running conditions and allows the traveler weight to be reduced. Thus, it becomes possible to reach speeds above 23,000 rpm.

Tests show that ORBIT delivers better results in yarn quality than traditional systems, even at higher speeds

The size of the yarn passage also plays an important role especially when processing man-made fibers, which are prone to heat damage. The ORBIT ring-traveler system benefits from a large yarn passage which minimizes thermal damages for better yarn quality.

Better results in yarn quality even at high speeds

ORBIT’s large contact area between ring and traveler contributes to the gentle handling of fibres. Stable running conditions coupled with the reduced surface pressure and optimum heat conduction result in low yarn breakage rates. Recent tests at spinning mills across the world show that ORBIT delivers better results in yarn quality than traditional systems, even at higher speeds.

Bräcker, a subsidiary of the Rieter Group, is among the world’s leading suppliers of rings and travelers for ring spinning systems. The company manufactures its main products, rings and travelers for ring spinning machines, in Pfäffikon and Wintzenheim (France), and also offers grinding machines used for the maintenance of cots.
