The impacts of failed coup attempt are felt in every area. The opearations carried on against FETÖ organization also include textile firms and managers.

After the failed coup attempt, operations against FETÖ/PDY( Fetthullahist-Terror Organisation-Parallel Goverment Structuring) are maintained not only at military and civil but also economical and social levels. In this regard, trustees were appointed to many companies while lots of businessmen and managers were taking  into custody due to belonging, financial support, connection and membership allegations.

Some of the important individuals and companies included in FETÖ/PDY investigation provide service in textile and garment sector. Kaynak Holding, Naksan Holding, Uğur Şirketler Grup, Sönmez Holding and Boydak Holding’s managers are among these important individuals who are taken into custody and arrested as part of the investigation. While wide-ranging investigations and custodies continue, some of the suspects are sent to jail with the arrest warrant.

As a part of this process, trustee processes have started in companies in textile and garment sector  as well as other sectors. Boydak Holding which is the last firm to have a trustee appointed, is one of the biggest manufacturers in Turkey in home textile and furniture sector. Additionally, trustees have been appointed to Kaynak Holding and total 94 companies that are linked to the Holding. Many companies are among these firms including Aker Eşarp. Trustees were also appointed at the companies belong to Akbulut Grup. Ortadoğu Tekstil is among these companies.Ortadoğu Tekstil, included in trustee appointed firms, were one of the Bank Asya’s shareholders whose liquidation process has been started. Additionally, trustees took over the management in BJ Tekstil ve Ticaret and Nurpak Boya Apre Sanayi firms.

As a result of the operations against FETÖ’s financial sources, TUSKON (Turkish Businessmen and  Industrialist Confederation) is also closed. The associations attached to TUSKON are affected by this closure as well. Osmanbey Textile Businessmen Association (OTİAD) is among the organizations that are closed down.
