The Textiles Recycling Expo 2025 Press Conference, held at the Press Club Brussels Europe on May 6. Engaging the media, key stakeholders, and policymakers in shaping the conversation ahead of the expo & conference in June, the event outlined what’s at stake and what’s possible.

Key industry leaders included in the event as speakers: Robert van de Kerkhof (ReHubs), Karla Basselier (Fedustria), Julia Ettinger (EuRIC), Dirk Vantyghem (EURATEX). They made a clear call for uniting the value chain – from collectors to manufacturers to brands, companies investing in circularity must not be pushed out of the market, turning sustainability from a cost into a value.

The Textiles Recycling Expo will be held in Brussels Expo on June, 4–5  and will be a platform to share best practices, build partnerships, and rebuild trust in the idea that circularity can be both competitive and transformative.

The visitors will witness textile recycling technologies first hand

There will be live demonstrations showcasing the latest advancements in textile recycling technology. These demonstrations offer attendees a unique opportunity to witness cutting-edge machinery in action, transforming textile waste into valuable resources and exemplifying the principles of circularity.

One of these solutions will be the Laboratory Shredding Machine of Mesdan, a company of VANDEWIELE. It transforms any industrial textile waste (fabrics, yarns, slivers, etc.) and worn-out clothes back into their original fiber forms.

Valvan will showcase two cutting-edge technologies that are redefining textile sorting and recycling: Fibersort® and Trimclean®.

The visitors will also discover the textile recycling possibilities of the major companies such as Siemens, ANDRITZ, Carbios, Groz-Beckert, RE&UP Recycling Technologies during the exhibition.
