Zimmer, which operates in the field of digital textile printing technologies, is preparing to unite its Klagenfurt and Kufstein operating companies in a single organization as part of its “Zimmer 2028” strategic transformation initiative. Guided by the vision “One Company. Two Locations. One Shared Future,” the initiative will bring the two operating companies together in a single organization effective January 1, 2028.

According to the company, the transformation initiative was launched in response to evolving market requirements and to create the foundation for the company’s future growth. Through the new organizational structure, Zimmer aims to consolidate expertise and create additional capacity for customer service, innovation and growth.

What does the new structure aim to achieve?

By combining the expertise, resources and technologies of the two companies, Zimmer aims to strengthen customer support, enable faster decision-making, enhance innovation capabilities and support sustainable long-term growth.

The new organizational model is intended to establish a more agile, customer-oriented and future-ready structure that can respond more effectively to evolving market requirements.

Changes in the management structure

The strategic transformation initiative also includes changes to the company’s management structure. According to the company, Horst Ros and Jürgen Scheriau stepped down from their roles as Managing Directors as of August 31, 2026. Horst Ros has left the company, while Jürgen Scheriau has withdrawn from the operational business and will no longer be involved in the company’s day-to-day management.

Effective September 1, 2026, Thomas Mentler and Andreas Rass, who have already been serving as Managing Directors of J. Zimmer Maschinenbau GmbH Kufstein | Digital Printing Systems, were appointed as Managing Directors of J. Zimmer Maschinenbau GmbH Klagenfurt. They will continue to lead both the Kufstein and Klagenfurt companies in their respective roles.

Zimmer expects the integration of leadership and expertise to strengthen its ability to serve customers efficiently, accelerate innovation and position the company for sustainable long-term success.
