At ITM 2026 in Istanbul, ZIMMER AUSTRIA will present its next-generation innovations in screen printing, coating systems, and digital textile printing, highlighting performance, flexibility, and future readiness. The company invites industry professionals to Booth 404C in Hall 4 for an in-depth look at its latest solutions.

Andreas Rass, CEO of ZIMMER AUSTRIA Digital Printing Systems, said that at ZIMMER AUSTRIA, they position digital printing as a complete industrial production solution, not as a stand-alone printer. “By combining print technology with process engineering, software, modular line design, and lifecycle support, we provide our customers with a reliable pathway from development to full-scale production,” he stated.

COLARIS-TeX: Innovations focused on operator needs

At ITM 2026, ZIMMER AUSTRIA will highlight advanced systems from its Screen Printing & Coating portfolio, alongside latest developments from its Digital Printing Systems division.

The main topic for discussions on the exhibition will be the all-new COLARIS-TeX, a next-generation digital textile printer completely redesigned to offer enhanced usability, superior serviceability, and exceptional productivity.

The new COLARIS-TeX platform sets a benchmark in print quality, operational efficiency, and machine uptime. Developed with a strong focus on operator needs, the system introduces a range of innovations aimed at simplifying workflows and maximizing productivity. It offers intuitive operation with minimal manual intervention and also faster maintenance with simplified procedures. In addition it provides easy accessibility to critical components and intelligent system support for operators.

This user-centric design reduces training time, minimizes errors, and ensures consistently high-quality output – even in demanding, multi-shift production environments.

Maximum uptime through connectivity

To address the critical challenge of downtime, COLARIS-TeX integrates advanced digital connectivity features, enabling remote diagnostics, predictive maintenance and real-time support from ZIMMER AUSTRIA specialists.

“These types of automation and digital tools are essential,” Rass adds. “Only when machine behavior is stable and data is reliable can advanced technologies like automation or AI deliver real value in production.”

These capabilities significantly improve machine reliability and production efficiency while reducing maintenance costs.

Revolutionary print carriage concept

At the heart of the system is a newly developed print carriage, engineered for enhanced stability, precision, and accessibility.

Key advantages include quick and safe printhead replacement, enchanced mechanical rigidity and high precision at elevated production speeds.

With support for up to 12 color channels and six printheads per channel, combined with FUJIFILM Dimatix StarFire™ printheads, the system delivers outstanding flexibility, long service life, and reduced operating costs.

Maximum flexibility with universal ink system

The COLARIS-TeX features a universal ink system, capable of handling multiple dye classes and functional fluids simultaneously. This allows manufacturers to expand their application portfolio and respond rapidly to evolving market demands.

Smart automation with COLARIS TuneUp

The integrated COLARIS TuneUp System introduces intelligent automation for optimized print quality:  automatic nozzle-level calibration, digital printhead alignment and banding compensation.

These features ensure consistent results while significantly reducing operator workload.

Reduced water consumption, increased water recovery

Responding to growing environmental requirements, ZIMMER AUSTRIA has developed: A new blanket cleaning system that drastically reduces water consumption, optional water recycling modules and an energy-efficient dryer concept supporting up to five fabric passes.

In combination with an improved fabric feed system, these innovations ensure waste reduction, energy efficiency, and optimal resource utilization.

A fully integrated digital printing solution

A key message at ITM 2026 will be ZIMMER AUSTRIA’s ability to deliver complete, production-ready solutions, particularly in carpet printing and coating, a core strength of the company.

“Customers increasingly expect fully integrated solutions rather than individual machines. Our ability to combine digital printing technologies like COLARIS and CHROMOJET with the entire process chain is a decisive advantage, especially in carpet and technical textile applications,” Rass explains.

“ITM is a key meeting point for the global textile industry. We expect strong customer engagement and valuable project discussions, particularly in markets investing in digitalization, efficiency, and flexible production,” Rass concludes.
