Swiss-based Benninger AG and Brazilian company Grupo NS have announced a partnership aimed at supporting textile manufacturers across Brazil. Under the agreement, Benninger’s engineering expertise in dyeing, finishing and singeing technologies will be combined with Grupo NS’s local market knowledge and service infrastructure within the Brazilian textile industry.
As one of the leading textile markets in the Americas, Brazil requires more than modern machinery investments. Textile producers also need process consulting, spare parts availability, training, automation support and long-term technical services. Through their cooperation, Benninger and Grupo NS plan to combine global technology and process expertise with local customer support capabilities.
Commenting on the partnership, Rolf Erik Schoeler, Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Benninger AG, said that the cooperation with Grupo NS brings Benninger’s portfolio closer to Brazilian textile manufacturers. He added that the aim is to help customers improve quality, productivity and sustainability through the right technologies and strong local support.
Grupo NS to provide local service and technical support
With decades of experience in the Brazilian textile industry, Grupo NS offers technical consulting and local service support. The company says it has the local infrastructure required to meet the needs of textile manufacturers across Brazil.
Rogério Esau, Director of NS Química, Grupo NS’s textile process chemicals division, stated that the partnership will enable the company to offer Brazilian customers a stronger portfolio, deeper process expertise and reliable local technical support.
As part of the cooperation, the two companies will assist customers with project evaluation, technology selection, process optimisation and long-term technical support following installation.
Benninger offers comprehensive wet-processing solutions
Benninger, with more than 160 years of process expertise, provides solutions for both continuous and discontinuous wet processing applications. Its portfolio includes singeing, preparation, washing, mercerising, Cold Pad Batch, jet dyeing and jigger dyeing technologies. The company develops integrated process solutions for woven, knitted and technical textiles rather than supplying stand-alone machines alone.
Benninger’s approach is based on the integration of machinery, automation systems, chemical preparation and dosing solutions, fabric handling systems and process control technologies. This integrated setup is designed to deliver reproducible results and consistent fabric quality across different fibre types, blends and production batches.
According to the company, these solutions help reduce processing times, increase productivity, minimise reprocessing requirements and provide greater flexibility for the production of higher-value fabrics. Benninger also offers technologies aimed at reducing water, energy and chemical consumption, alongside heat recovery, water recycling and caustic recovery systems.
The company’s SingeRay system, part of its singeing technology portfolio, is designed to create a clean and uniform fabric surface for subsequent dyeing and finishing processes. Benninger states that the system supports process reliability and quality in downstream operations through reproducible process settings and efficient gas utilisation.
