Carpet manufacturer YD Dokuma declares bankruptcy

YD Dokuma, one of Türkiye’s carpet, rug, and mat manufacturers and exporters, joined the bankrupt textile companies after the concordat process. A temporary respite decision was granted for YD Dokuma İthalat İhracat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. for 3 months starting from October 30, 2024, and this period was later extended by 2 months. Finally, the Kayseri 1st Commercial Court of First Instance announced its decision to lift all precautıonary measures and temporary respıte decısıon, including the duties of the concordat commissioners, and declared the company’s bankruptcy. 

The official announcement of the bankruptcy included: 

“In the concordat case (Ordinary Concordat arising from (IIK 285 to 308/h)) filed by the plaintiff YD DOKUMA İTHALAT İHRACAT SANAYİ VE TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ and being heard in our court; regarding the plaintiff registered with the Kayseri Trade Registry Office under the registration number 51711/Center: 

1- The rejection of the plaintiff’s request for definitive respite and concordat, 

2- The lifting of ALL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AND TEMPORARY RESPITE DECISION, including the duties of the concordat commissioners, regarding the plaintiff (lifting ALL MEASURES RELATED TO THE CONCORDAT), 

3- The bankruptcy of YD Dokuma İthalat İhracat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. registered with the Kayseri Trade Registry Office under registration number 51711, 

4- The opening of the bankruptcy as of 14:37 on 19/03/2025, 

5- The formation of the bankruptcy estate and the issuance of bankruptcy announcements with the existing bankruptcy advance in the file, and the sending of the decision to the Kayseri General Enforcement Bankruptcy Office, 

6- The announcement of this decision in accordance with the last article of IIK 299 and notification to the places specified in IIK 288.”
