French Machinery Manufacturers Come to Strengthen Turkish Textile Partnership
French Machinery Manufacturers Come to Strengthen Turkish Textile Partnership

French machinery manufacturers, one of the most important technology suppliers of the Turkish textile industry, will emphasize their commitment to innovation and their closeness as a partner to the Turkish market at the ITM 2018.

The French Textile Machinery Manufacturers have a total annual consolidated turnover of 1 billion Euros. They are the sixth textile machinery exporter worldwide. The Turkish textile industry is one of the top three markets of French textile machinery manufacturers. For this reason, the French machinery manufacturers are very sensitive to the demands of the Turkish market and act accordingly. French textile machinery manufacturers will exhibit the passion for ‘innovation’ in their genes at ITM 2018, the most important exhibition for the Turkish and the regional industry. The umbrella organization of French Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association UCMTF, will bring their members together with the local markets after a long period of 20 years in Turkey for the first time with a national pavilion.

UCMTF Secretary General Evelyne Cholet told that Turkey is a major market for them and ITM the most important regional exhibition. Cholet; “French textile machinery manufacturers are particularly strong in long fibre spinning (wool, acrylic, etc.), yarn twisting and control (including technical yarns), space-dyeing, heat setting for carpet yarns, carpet systems, dyeing and finishing, felts and belts for finishing processes, nonwovens, air conditioning of textile plants and recycling processes of textile materials. In these sectors they have established long term partnerships with their Turkish customers and therefore ITM will be another opportunity to meet at the highest level”.

We get along very well with Turkish customers

Evelyne Cholet, voicing that French machinery manufacturers share the same strategy as Turkish customers, summarized it as “to be a reliable, long-term solution partner for our customers”. Cholet noted that the French machinery manufacturers are mainly SMEs, mostly family businesses and leading or prominent brands in their fields. “This is why we understand each other very well with Turkish customers who are real entrepreneurs,” said Cholet and continued as follows;

“The stability of our teams (sales managers, technicians, agents and local representatives) allows our companies to go well beyond the purely technical and address the long-term objectives of our customers. As we are machinery and technology solution partners, our Turkish customers are very interested to work with us to implement innovative, “couture” solutions; they know that we deliver and install the machines on time, give an excellent after sale service and deliver spare parts very efficiently.”

2017 was a record year for Turkish market

Commenting about their position in the Turkish market, Evelyn Cholet expressed that in Turkey, after a short-lived slowdown in 2016, orders have picked up again and 2017 was a near record year. Saying that there are changes in the machine demands, Cholet stated that sales of machines to produce traditional textiles (apparel) have slowed but sales of machines to produce technical textiles, carpeting or to recycle textiles have soared. Cholet declared that they are quite optimistic about 2018, for most of their members the order backlogs are at record levels and new orders coming in at a very good pace.

Every company will be a separate attraction centre

Evelyne Cholet announced that NSC Fibre to Yarn, Laroche, Superba, Fil Control, Petit Spare Parts, Spoolex Group, Dollfus & Muller and AESA Air Engineering are among the French companies to participate in the exhibition. Cholet gave the following tips on solutions to be presented;

French machinery manufacturers; innovation is in our DNA…

Emphasizing that the French machinery manufacturers are entirely innovation and quality oriented, Cholet said that this process is not only for the R&D department, but for the whole company.
