Represented by Pigment Reklam in Turkey, the world premiere of the brand’s first roll to roll printing model Karibu will be held at FESPA 2019 Munich from May 14 to 17.
The countdown has started for the roll to roll innovation
Introducing an innovation at FESPA every year has become a tradition for swissQprint. The company has introduced 3rd generation models of Nyala 3, Impala 3 and Oryx 3 together with Impala S and Nyala S has for a total of 5 new models last year. SwissQprint, known for their R&D studies and product developments on UV flatbed printing up to now, builds their first roll to roll model based on this extensive experience. Several important characteristics and technical details of Karibu will be shared with the industry during FESPA 2019. Some important clues have been announced about Karibu, which focuses on efficiency, reliability and precision of roll printing of flexible materials.
Equipped with new technologies, Karibu has an easy roll handling structure. Rolls are inserted and ready for print in only a few minutes with the Karibu cassette system. Fast and easy installation of the roll increases efficiency, reliability and precision in the print.
Another innovation that the new model brings is related to the prints for backlit applications. Users will monitor backlit prints practically real-time by means of the light box functionality. Instant control of backlit products means optimum product quantity with lowest rejects.
The process reliability increases with finely adjustable vacuum. The Tip Switch Vacuum is pressure-controlled and finely segmented. Every single segment is switched at the touch of a finger. Effortless and without additional masking.
Environment and human health friendly inks with Karibu
swissQprint’s environment-friendly UV printing concept continues with Karibu. Harmless and the lowest odour inks are an important title for both the environment and human health. Karibu ink is made for every roll to roll application. With its high standards, Karibu inks can even be used for printing applications in schools and healthcare facilities, because they have received the Greenguard Gold Certificate.
