Orka Holding, one of the leading companies in men’s fashion with its Damat Tween and D’S damat brands, held the opening ceremony of its second factory in Giresun and the groundbreaking ceremony of its third factory. Following the production base commissioned in Giresun in 2024, the Holding reached an annual production capacity of 2 million 300 thousand units with the start of operation of its second factory.
Men’s suits, coats, vests, pants and shirts will be produced in the new factory, which is built with a 100 percent sustainability philosophy, supported by artificial intelligence and based on robotic technology. The factory stands out with its proximity to 3.0 production standards in the apparel industry.
The holding, which will open its third factory in January next year, will invest approximately 750 million liras in two factories and will employ 2,250 people in Giresun with the addition of 1150 additional employees to the two factories.
The Holding has 420 stores in 85 countries such as Italy, USA, Germany, Russia, Dubai, Romania, Romania, Azerbaijan and South Africa with Damat Tween and D’S damat brands.
In the new factory, with Smart Tailoring, mass production will be made on a unit basis in customized sizes
In his speech at the ceremony, Süleyman Orakçıoğlu, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Orka Holding, said that the investment is not only an increase in production capacity but also a concrete indicator that the growth plans in America, Europe and Asia are built on domestic and national foundations.
He underlined that in their factory, where the right price for the right product approach is applied for customer satisfaction, predictable supply chains and competitive production conditions, they bring together the environmentally sensitive production approach with the industry, inspired by the natural richness of the Black Sea.
Stating that their factories, generating their own electricity from the sun, using biomass instead of coal and producing without generating chemical waste, minimize their carbon footprint with their infrastructure compatible with the European Green Deal, Orakçıoğlu emphasized that their facilities, with Zero Waste Certificate, pioneer the region’s vision of environmentally friendly production by taking sustainability as a basis in every detail from rainwater collection systems to sensor sinks.
He also gave the good news that they will make ‘Smart Tailoring’ for the first time in the new factory with the help of artificial intelligence and robotic technology, saying, “With Smart Tailoring, we will be able to make mass production on a quantity basis in personalized sizes. Thus, we have started another application that leads the future by delivering from order to address.”
“As Orka Holding, our roots are in this land but our vision is global”
Süleyman Orakçıoğlu talked about the group’s growth targets for this year and said, “As Orka Holding, our roots are in these lands, but our vision is global. In 2024, we opened our Damat Tween store in Lenox Square shopping center in Atlanta, and now Miami and New York are next. The logistics center we will establish in New Jersey in the coming period will be the heart of our omnichannel (multi-channel marketing strategy) operations across the US. Our goal in the US is to make Damat Tween the reference brand of American men’s fashion with 10 stores and a strong digital ecosystem in three years.”
Underlining that they are gradually strengthening their presence in Europe with their Bologna-based structuring in Italy, the heart of fashion, he said, “Our center in Bologna has become the center of not only logistics but also all value-added processes such as design, collection development and market analytics. We will reach a much larger scale with our 6 stores in Italy and our sales points that will reach 30 corners. We will also demonstrate exemplary success in markets such as England and France.”
He stated that they targeted 55 million dollars in group exports this year and 70 million dollars next year.
