The balance disrupted in the Turkish textile and apparel industry; costs are rising while production and exports are declining. Over the past five months, 1,781 workplaces in the textile and apparel sectors have shut down. Commenting on the sector, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat stated, “As a government, we will never turn our backs on the textile industry” This year, the 18th Istanbul Apparel Conference served as a “compass” for the sector. Mimaki celebrated its 50th anniversary at SIGN İstanbul 2025 with “DIFFERENT” innovations. Heimtextil 2026 will bring the industry together under the motto “Lead the Change.” NASA-inspired thermal insulation: Aersulate takes the stage at Heimtextil.
Textile technologies that directly affect the quality of garment production continue to advance day by day. Pre-Cleaner CL-X continues to be preferred by spinning mills worldwide with its high-efficiency cotton cleaning performance. swissQprint expanded its Generation 5 series with the new Topi 5 and Oryx 5. Durak Tekstil stands out with its functional threads and sustainability vision. BTSR Sales General Manager Angelo Rizzo shared details with Textilegence about BTSR’s technologies that provide efficient yarn monitoring and control for high-quality yarns.
