Having several value added solutions to printing industry’s different demands, Epson cares about maintaining its high quality standards. After attending Sign İstanbul in September, the brand will finish the year with FESPA Eurasia.

One of the leading players of wide format printing industry, Epson dominates the market with its various models aimed at all segments from new investors to high volume providers. The company has showcased 13 different models for textile, sign, photographic and label printing and examples made by them at its two main distributors Tecpro Bilgi Teknolojileri and Lidya Group’s booths at Sign İstanbul in September. Emphasizing the added value and competitive advantage brought by creativity, Epson underlines that the quality in the models shows an infallible standard.

Answering Textilegence’s questions, Epson Turkey’s Pro-Graphics Channel Manager Ersel Şamiloğlu talked about what happened since he took office in June 2017, company strategy and short term innovations to come. Emphasizing their work focused on adding and extra value to the sector as a whole Şamiloğlu continued saying;

“As to give an example to the innovations that will take place in near future, we will launch in label market with a UV print capable product. This machine will be on sale in Turkish market in the upcoming period. We will continue to focus on boutique print jobs, smaller businesses besides high volume firms. It is possible to accomplish low volume but creative works with Epson solutions we provide for smaller businesses compared to big companies defined by competitive costs and standard high volume production. Creativity brings the added value. For example one of our outdoor print machine can be used in indoor works. The GREENGUARD certificate that our machines have proves we can safely print for applications in baby rooms. We always keep our quality standards over the customer’s expectations.”

Print Heads That We Have Developed Will Only Be in Epson Now

Reminding that Epson has bought 100% of Italian brand Robustelli’s shares last year, Ersel Şamiloğlu said Epson has reached a portfolio encompassing all the professional indoor and outdoor printing systems. Direct and transfer printing in textile, solutions in photography and color management and label printing systems segments. Stating Epson as a strong print head manufacturer and supplier, Ersel Şamiloğlu said several of the print brands in a competitive position uses Epson print heads. Mentioning the huge interest on the DX5 and DX7 print heads in the market, Şamiloğlu said; “Epson has created PrecisionCore print heads a short while ago in order to use solely in its machines. As a technology developer and manufacturer, a decision has been taken about using the printing heads that will be developed in the future only in its machines.”

We Have Surpassed the Market Goal

Reviewing the market for 2017, Ersel Şamiloğlu said Epson has met its goals based on the previous 3 quarters. Şamiloğlu expressed the sales and production numbers and service strength will continue to grow in the upcoming period. Şamiloğlu; “First of all Turkey is a big consumers market. Textile producers are in a strong position in both domestic and abroad markets. They continue to invest in new machines. There is a growth potential in the market. I rely this as a deduction from the feedback from the field not as a forecast.”

Stating Turkey being a very big and important market for Epson, Şamiloğlu reminded that they have reached this market not with a single distributor but with 3 specialist agent. Şamiloğlu said working with specialists offers an advantage to Epson.

Ersel Şamiloğlu said usage costs are much more important than the label price in purchasing. Şamiloğlu emphasized the added value and unit cost advantage provided by the solutions (machines, inks, print heads, etc.) they offer throughout the expected life of the item. Implying the importance of total cost of ownership, Şamiloğlu underlined Epson users being the bigger beneficiary due to this concept.

Ersel Şamiloğlu said; “FESPA Eurasia is a very valuable and important event for both domestic and foreigner visitors. We will take part in this exhibition with our wide range of product portfolio and solutions as Epson” about FESPA Eurasia exhibition that they will attend in December.
