KARL MAYER has introduced its new RE 6 EL Raschel machine, developed to meet the evolving requirements of today’s textile market. As textile manufacturers increasingly face the need to handle smaller production runs and respond rapidly to changing fashion trends, flexibility, reliability and cost efficiency have become key performance criteria. Designed as a cost-optimised alternative, the RE 6 EL combines the proven strengths and performance parameters of the established RSE 6 EL with advantages derived from local production.

Diverse designs, rapid pattern changes and efficient production

The RE 6 EL is available with a working width of 170 inches, with 130 inches offered as an option. The standard gauge is E 32, while an E 28 version is available on request. As an upgraded successor to the RSE 6 EL, the machine offers comparable competitive advantages in the production of elastic fabrics.

Equipped with six electronically controlled guide bars, the RE 6 EL enables the production of complex patterns and a wide variety of fabric structures. All guide bars feature a maximum cumulative shogging distance of 2 inches, allowing for fast and efficient pattern changes. The maximum underlap distance is 15 needles.

A warp beam support system, designed to the same technical standards as the RSE 6 EL, allows warp beams of different diameters to be positioned flexibly. This enables adaptation to varying yarn capacities and production requirements.

KAMCOS® 2 from KARL MAYER ensures that the machine can be precisely configured and controlled, and its electronic functions can be set exactly.

Cost efficiency without compromising performance

Based on the established technology of the RSE 6 EL, the new RE 6 EL delivers stable running characteristics, consistent fabric quality and high operating speeds. Depending on yarn selection and lapping, working speeds of up to 1,400 rpm can be achieved. Optimised local supply chains contribute to improved cost efficiency, while maintaining the same performance standards.

Thanks to its performance capabilities and flexible processing options, the RE 6 EL can be used across the same wide range of applications as the RSE 6 EL. These include underwear and swimwear, outerwear, functional fabrics such as shapewear and corsetry, as well as home textiles, including decorative fabrics.
