KARL MAYER has expanded its HKS product family for warp knitting with the new HKS 4-S EL. Developed to produce both elastic and non-elastic fabrics, the four-guide-bar Short Stroke tricot machine combines high operating speeds with production flexibility. The company positions the machine as the world’s fastest four-guide-bar Short Stroke tricot machine.
The HKS 4-S EL reaches operating speeds of up to 2,500 rpm and offers a maximum working width of 280 inches, with an optional 10-inch extension. The machine is available in E 28, E 32 and E 36 gauges and in working widths of 130″, 180″, 210″ and 280″. All four guide bars are fully threaded and capable of lapping, while the 2-inch shogging movement enables the production of a wide variety of fabric constructions.
High speed across a wide range of applications
Beyond its high operating speed, the new machine also stands out for its production flexibility. Equipped with a height-adjustable fabric take-up system and an electronic pattern drive system (EL), the HKS 4-S EL enables rapid pattern changes and supports the efficient production of fabrics ranging from dense performance textiles to Powernet-style mesh fabrics. The machine is designed for a broad range of applications, including sportswear, underwear, apparel and home textiles.
With the HKS 4-S EL, KARL MAYER aims to offer manufacturers greater product diversity and shorter pattern change times, particularly in applications requiring high productivity. The machine also features carbon-fibre-reinforced guide bars and the KAMCOS® 2 operating system, contributing to ease of operation and efficient machine performance.
