Recover™, a global producer of low environmental impact, high-quality recycled cotton fibre, has announced a new partnership with Türkiye-based vertically integrated textile manufacturer Ünteks Group. The collaboration focuses on the development of circular knit fabrics and garments, combining Recover™ recycled cotton fibre with Ünteks Group’s capabilities across knitting, dyeing, printing and garment production.

Designed for high-volume, everyday applications, the collection currently includes a range of circular knit constructions: single jersey (RFCS134 and RFCS110), fleece (RFCS100), interlock (RFCS106), terry (RFCS101), rib 2×1 (RFCS135) and pique. Additional constructions are expected to be added as the collection expands.

While all fabrics will contain a minimum of 20% Recover™ recycled cotton, they are designed to deliver performance, consistency, reduced environmental impact and increased transparency across the value chain.

Recycled cotton innovation meets manufacturing expertise

With more than 30 years of textile industry experience, Ünteks Group operates an integrated production model covering fabric and garment manufacturing. The company has a production capacity of up to 1.5 thousand tonnes of fabric and 1 million garments per month. Its manufacturing base in Türkiye also provides proximity to European markets, supporting flexibility and responsiveness for regional customers.

Commenting on the partnership, Matthew Neville, Chief Commercial Officer of Recover™, said:

“One of the key strengths of Ünteks is their ability to take circular knit fabrics through to finished garments with a high level of consistency. That makes them a strong partner for our collection, where the focus is on translating recycled cotton into everyday products that brands can rely on at scale.”

Hakan Kılıç, CEO of Ünteks Group, highlighted that in circular knits, small variations can impact how a fabric behaves in production, noting: “A big part of our work with Recover™ has been adjusting and refining each step so the material runs consistently, from knitting through to the finished garment.”
