10 provinces of Turkey were severely damaged in the Kahramanmaraş earthquake that occurred on February 6. While rescue operations are continuing in Gaziantep and Kahramanmaraş, two of Türkiye’s textile centres, industrial production was also significantly disrupted. However, companies with undamaged facilities continue production.

In the statement made by Borsa Istanbul to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was reported that due to the earthquake centred in Kahramanmaraş and affecting 10 provinces in total, the trading of the shares of 8 partnerships in the region was temporarily suspended. It was stated that it was decided to suspend the trading of the shares of the companies located in the earthquake zone until the companies make a special circumstance disclosure on how they are affected by the earthquake.

Companies with temporarily suspended trading are: “Sasa Polyester Sanayi AŞ (Share, futures contracts and warrants), Bossa Ticaret ve Sanayi İşletmeleri AŞ, Bilici Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, Sanko Pazarlama İthalat İhracat AŞ, Hateks Hatay Tekstil İşletmeleri AŞ, İskenderun Demir ve Çelik AŞ, Arsan Tekstil Ticaret ve Sanayi AŞ ve Rubenis Tekstil Sanayi Ticaret AŞ.”
