With participants from 148 nations, Heimtextil 2026 underscored its growing global relevance and resilience in an increasingly volatile market environment. Once again, around 3,000 exhibitors from across the world gathered in Frankfurt, presenting current collections, materials and textile solutions for holistic interior design to more than 48,000 buyers. Stable exhibitor and visitor numbers at a consistently high year-on-year level, combined with a noticeable rise in visitor quality, reflected strong confidence in the industry’s central platform. From Türkiye, around 200 exhibitors, including leading companies such as Zorlu Tekstil and Boyteks, showcased their latest solutions and collections on the global stage.

As the world’s leading trade fair for home and contract textiles and textile design, Heimtextil translated evolving market dynamics, new business opportunities and technological developments into tangible experiences across the exhibition halls. At the evet held under the motto “Lead the Change”, the focus was on progressive design approaches, visionary talents, functional textiles and new hospitality concepts shaping the future of interior design.

International participation remained a defining strength of Heimtextil 2026. Exhibitors from 148 nations represented 96 percent of the show’s total, spanning the entire textile value chain. The top ten exhibitor countries included China, India, Pakistan, Türkiye, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Heimtextil 2026 showed the connection between AI and traditional craftmanship

As a global hotspot for interior design, Heimtextil offered curated solutions for retail, industry and contract sectors. The Heimtextil Trends 26/27 theme “Craft is a verb” explored the connection between artificial intelligence and traditional craftsmanship, providing impulses for design, product development and range planning. Designer and architect Patricia Urquiola’s installation “among-all” combined AI, material innovation and sustainability to illustrate future-oriented interior and hospitality concepts.

Artificial intelligence was also positioned as a key business enabler throughout the fair. Under the umbrella “Texpertise Focus AI”, Heimtextil demonstrated how AI can strengthen competitiveness in practical terms—from design concepts and material visualisation to data migration, daily workflows and personalised customer engagement—reinforcing its role as a platform for orientation, innovation and strategic exchange.
