German knitting machinery manufacturer Mayer & Cie., which has been represented in Türkiye by its Turkish agent Mayer Mümessillik for over 30 years, will take part in ITM 2026 through its local partner. At the fair, to be held on June 9–13 at the Istanbul Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, Mayer Mümessillik will present a selection from Mayer & Cie.’s current product portfolio at booth 303B in hall 3. The presentation will also include some of the brand’s latest machines. Xu Hongjie, the future owner of Mayer & Cie., will also be present at the show.
“ITM is one of the most important trade fairs in the textile machinery industry,” says Stefan Bühler. The long-standing Area Sales Manager has recently rejoined the Mayer & Cie. successor company. He adds: “Accordingly, Mayer & Cie.’s participation in ITM 2026 carries significant importance.”

Customers and visitors will have the opportunity to explore a selection of the current product portfolio. The future owner of Mayer & Cie., Xu Hongjie will also be present at ITM 2026.

The transaction to be formally completed by the end of the month
The company is approaching the final stage of its transition, with all required regulatory approvals now secured from both German and Chinese authorities, paving the way for the formal closing.
Mayer & Cie. initiated insolvency proceedings in December 2025. In February 2026, Xu Hongjie, a member of the family that owns Huixing, acquired the circular knitting business. The purchase agreement was signed on February 9.
The successor company expects the transaction to be formally completed by the end of the month.
