Tecpro Sustains Growth Despite Market Fluctuations

Tecpro General Manager İbrahim İlhan said that they have reached their market targets and achieved successful results in the first half of 2018, and then commented on the recent demand increase for direct t-shirt printer.

Tecpro Bilgi Teknolojileri, offering digital printing technologies that range from textiles to ceramics, advertising to promotions to the market, is pleased with the first half of 2018. Saying that they have had a very productive period until the middle of the second quarter of 2018, Tecpro Bilgi Teknolojileri General Manager İbrahim İlhan said that the unexpected increase of the exchange rate caused the sales to dwindle.

İlhan said; “The successful results we achieved in the first quarter enabled us to move our average up in the first half of the year. We achieved our targets in textile printing systems business unit in addition to our image and barcode pos automation systems business units. Thanks to Epson’s power and the corporate service support we were able to provide without interruption, we were able to complete effective works on the market.”

Demand for direct textile printing solutions increased

İlhan said that there is a tendency to invest in direct to fabric printing technologies and applications compared to the transfer printing. Recalling that the increase in the exchange rate reflected in ink prices, İlhan also said that this led to long-term waiting for some investments. İbraham İlhan continued his words as follows; “We see in recent years that interest in direct-shirt printers has increased. The demand for printing on cotton fabrics is increasing, and the interest in technology that brings innovations to t-shirt production is getting stronger every day.”

Voicing that Epson’s direct t-shirt printer F2100 model is a clear answer to this demand; İlhan described it as  being faster and having more use effective features than the previous model. İlhan said; “The F2100 meets the expectations of manufacturers with reasonable ink prices”. İlhan described this model as a complete Epson DTG (direct to garment) solution with a printer, print head, ink, software and warranty.

Soft signage applications grew in a short amount of time

İbrahim İlhan, who we asked for opinions on the use of soft-signage intensively, expressed his view as follow; “Today, the effect of publicity as the most important part of marketing is publicly accepted. Unlimited media and tools are being used to increase this powerful effect. First studies started thinking ‘Why not soft signage be a part of it’; and very effective results were obtained in a short time. Epson will be tracking these developments and presenting their solutions in the most effective way; as soon as they are ready.”

Underlining that the Turkish printing industry follows global developments simultaneously; İlhan noted that the latest technologies are entering to the Turkish market with great speed. İlhan stated that Turkish print manufacturers were acting rapidly to gain competitive advantage with new technologies; “We have a very dynamic, practical business sense. Our investment appetite is quite high. As a country and industry, we have the potential to work parallel to; and even do much more business than, global growth. Now we need to focus on commercialization, development and growth with value-added production. Although we are not in the same commercial and political environment as our global competitors; I see the situation of our country as good,” he commented.
