Mimaki Textile Dealer A.I.T. Opens Istanbul Head Office

The strong cooperation of Mimaki Eurasia and digital textile printing solutions dealer A.I.T. brings along the growth. A.I.T. has expanded its borders with the new İstanbul head office.

Mimaki, the leading brand of wide-format inkjet printers and cutting machines for industrial advertising / graphics, textiles / apparel markets, continues the good work in order to offer more value to the market. Empowered by Mimaki Eurasia’s market reconstruction, textile dealer A.I.T. opened their Istanbul head office in Güneşli where Mimaki Eurasia previously had an office. Thus, A.I.T. will be able to reach a wider range of markets with Mimaki’s extensive digital textile printing solutions.

“In Bursa, we grew together with the textile industry”

Reminding that A.I.T. was founded in 1996 to provide printing solutions to the textile industry, General Manager Hakan Özgür, said that Mimaki has given strength to both themselves and the textile industry in the way to grow. Reminiscing Bursa as one of the traditional textile centres of Turkey, Özgür noted that the textile industry has grew in the areas such as yarn, woven fabrics and apparel in recent years. Özgür stated that textile manufacturers are rapidly adopting the advantages of digital printing and continued saying;

“Mimaki’s digital printing solutions enabled textile and apparel manufacturers in the region to benefit from advantages that traditional printing methods were not able to offer. This has increased the sector’s competitive power and quality. As the market grew, so did us. We have taken steps to move our leading position in the Bursa market further. We opened our head office in Istanbul by sharing Mimaki Eurasia’s belief in the Turkish market. A.I.T.’s service and Mimaki’s quality will reach to almost everywhere in Turkey, particularly Istanbul and Marmara”.

Istanbul is the centre for the Turkish economy

Underlining that Istanbul is the centre for the Turkish economy, Hakan Özgür stated that this is also true for the textile and ready-to-wear industries. Özgür reminds that many manufacturing companies in Anatolia chose Istanbul as their headquarters for purchase, procurement, sales and management;

“Actually being in İstanbul means to reach all of Turkey. We could not ignore the advantage of being here to be included in the purchasing decisions of the users and to offer them individually the rich Mimaki solutions. We are taking over this office that Mimaki Eurasia opened in 2013 and we are making our İstanbul branch in Güneşli a centre for all the solutions for the end users. The supply for digital printers, software, inks and consumables will get an uninterrupted flow. We are taking more bold steps with the power and experience that Mimaki Eurasia has provided us. We grow our corporate structure while we are diversifying our market and segments”.

We are supporting the digital transformation

Arjen Evertse, General Manager of Mimaki Eurasia, said that the Turkish textile industry has shown a significant improvement in the transition from analogue printing to digital printing. “Turkish textile manufacturers are seriously beginning to rely on and invest in digital printing solutions,” Evertse said, noting the dealers had a lot of work during this process. Arjen Evertse stated that they planned to increase their share in every part of the market and that it was in a healthy and strong relationship with their dealers, and continued saying;

“As in all sectors, digital transformation in the textile industry is an inevitable development. Because of the shortening and simplification of process steps; as well as to reduce the negative effects of printing production on environment; intensive investments are made in these technologies. In order not to lose competitiveness, Turkish textile industry understood how to benefit from this technology; and started to apply it very quickly. With this present trend in the market, we continue to offer exactly the solutions they need. We want to reach all users with our dealers. We support the development of A.I.T.; who has already done a very successful job as our textile dealer in the past. We believe they can expand the successful work they have performed in Bursa to Istanbul and all over Turkey. “

About the rich history of Mimaki and A.I.T.

The strong cooperation between Mimaki and A.I.T. extends back for a long time. A.I.T. was the Turkey distributor of the Italian company La Meccanica that was recently obtained by Mimaki. This common history together with the current dealership brought the cooperation between Mimaki and A.I.T. to stronger and richer levels.
