Achieving a global strength with developed business applications and software, Infor sustains investments in Turkey believing in the country’s progress potential in textiles.

Among leading suppliers of business application software for more than 70.000 customers across the world, Infor exhibited solutions, strategy and studies developed for many industries particularly for textiles in detail during Next Turkey 2016 event. Textilegence made an interview with Infor Turkey Manager Yasemin Giden, Infor India, Middle East and Africa General Manager Tarik Taman and Infor EMEA Principal Solutions Consultant Helene Behrenfeldt as they revealed main advantages of their solutions and their market view.

Tarık Taman said they have taken place with channel business partners in Turkish market so far and held successful business with more than 300 customers. The company started to directly work in Turkey given their trust for growth potential here, Taman stated, adding, “Economy and ındystry severely change. We anticipate companies to shift cloud system from within structures in next 5 years. We are planning to be active in Turkey during this phase. We are willing to boost ourselves and our partners via our own directly-serving team.”

The company is eager to find and work with open companies ready for adopting fresh technologies and applications over the short term. “In the near term, we plan to be business partners with 5-10 visionary companies. We forecast cloud usage to move above 50% in next 5 years and hit above 90% in 10 years. We aim to break hesitations for shifting cloud for important applications with those companies and showcase this success to the market,” he explained.

Inclusive Infor Solutions from Textile Manufacturing to Retail

Pointing to the serious progress of Turkish textiles, Helene Behrenfeldt commented, “Turkey was used to be a country depending on imports like China and Bangladesh. However, it adopted business partner model day by day and turned to be a country that uses retail channel with its own brands.” Infor has inclusive product range for both retail and textile manufacturing, she said.

“We have special solutions for textile industry within our Fast Fashion Suite. First of all, we have PLM (Product Life Cycle Management). It provides a solution for a cooperation platform to be created within the company and among partners, management of samples even at design process, setting features and sharing them with suppliers. It starts with PLM. Another title in our Fashion Suit is Fabric Management. Companies which use high quality fabric must manage this process well. It is a very remarkable helper for integrated production in particular. GT Nexus, which we added last year, is a platform that sits on the center of everything, forming an atmosphere that shares the latest situation and solutions with related people and institutions. Many textile manufacturers in Europe prefer our M3 application as an Enterprise Resource Planning solution,” Helene Behrenfeldt highlighted.

Base of Everything: Technologic Progress

Yasemin Giden reported that Infor works with “The World’s Largest Start-Up Company” theme and has more than USD3 billion over come and 15.000 employees. “As an innovator, we focus on market needs while offering product, not what everybody else sells. Income is important, for sure, but technologic growth is much more important for the future,” she stated.

Infor works to obtain tomorrow’s technologies that includes artificial intelligence in cooperation with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) located in the US. Giden said they achieved considerable goals about it, adding, “We developed Inform Ming.le for improvement and analyzing of business process. Not only Infor products, but also the third part applications and devices are able to talk with it and needed notices are created. One arm of the business is to analyze data and reach the result while the second is to transfer this at right time and to the correct area. Ming.le does this.”
