MS Printing Introduces MiniLario to the Global Textile Market – Marco Girola

Those who want to see innovations in digital textile printing at ITMA 2019 found more than what they were looking for at the MS Printing Solutions booth. The new 64-head MiniLario was introduced for the first time at the booth of MS Printing, a Dover Company. Developed to address medium-sized businesses, MiniLario plays an important role in completing the company’s industrial printing portfolio.

In an exclusive interview with Textilegence, MS Printing Marketing and Communications Manager Marco Girola said that MiniLario is the latest example of their leading role in digital textile printing. “The MiniLario is the fastest scanning machine in its segment,” said Girola and continued his words saying; “ITMA was the right place to introduce this machine, a milestone in printing, to the market for the first time. With the new MiniLario, which is among our existing JPK-EVO and LaRIO machines, we cater to customers who want high efficiency and speed. MiniLario is between these two machines addressing exactly different customer profiles”.

Girola also announced that they are targeting customers who already use LaRIO and want more flexibility and work on different jobs. Girola; “With in-line pretreatment LaRIO brought a major innovation to the market ten years ago. Since then it has become a well-known and trusted model in the market. With MiniLario, we take this success one step further. Our customers quickly accept this development. For example, during the ITMA fair, our MiniLario sales have already taken place. We will witness the rapid rise of these figures in the coming period”.

MiniLario is a referance machine

Marco Girola said that MiniLario is a reference machine for those searching for; flexibility, quality, speed, energy efficiency and sustainability, all in one. Girola said that; “LaRIO is of course a single-pass machine, while the MiniLario is a scanning machine. So there’s a difference in speed. You cannot print every design with a single pass machine, unfortunately some special designs cannot be printed. MiniLario offers customers the power to print any kind of design with its speed. Therefore those who already own a LaRIO showed great interest”.

Reminding that MiniLario has 64 printheads and 8 colour capacity, Girola stated that it has 1500/3000m2 printing power per hour with 2xCMYK setting. Girola; “The MiniLario’s print width is 1800 ÷ 3200 mm, droplet size is between 4 and 72 picoliters. With a 600 x 600 dpi print resolution, it can handle the challenges of speed and quality. An incredible speed of 18 meters per minute with 64 printheads. MiniLario is equipped with Qwizard hardware-software system that allows the easy and fast management of the production”.

Stressing that direct printing and sublimation printing can be done with MiniLario as well as all the machines they offer at the exhibition, Girola said that it does not make any difference whether the fabric is polyester or cotton. Girola continued as follows; “The MiniLario features bold solutions such as positioning the printing carriage hang on the printing bridge. It exceeds expectations with high speed, accuracy and total system stability. Minimal use of resources makes the MiniLario an environmentally friendly and sustainable product”.

“We have a complete textile printing portfolio”

Stating that MS Printing is a complete solution provider in the global printing market, Marco Girola underlined the strong supply to the market with MS Printing and the JK Group (Kiian Digital brand) under the Dover Company. Noting that JK Group’s main business is sublimation printing, Girola disclosed that MS Printing specializes in reactive and acid printing in textiles. “We have a complete portfolio of textile printing products, including sublimation, disperse, reactive and pigment. We are the market leader with our synergy in this field. Our sales volume and close connection with the market increases this power even more”.

Turkish market is experiencing a stagnation in machinery investment

In his assessment about the Turkish market, Marco Girola argued that Turkey was currently unable to catch the same growth rates of the past. Girola; “We see a stagnation in machinery investment in Turkish market. Despite this stagnation, the number of square meters printed is higher than in previous years. In other words, as JK Group, we have increased our ink sales for both polyester and sublimation printing. I can say that our sales in the first six months of this year increased above last year”.

Informing that Turkish textile manufacturers showed great interest to MiniLario during ITMA, Girola added that they have signed important agreements with some print manufacturers who want to gain competitive advantage despite the stagnation in the Turkish market.
