SPGPrints will bring their innovations in rotary and digital printing to the global market at ITMA 2019, and will show the trends in industrial textile printing closely. The stand area of 1500 m2 is getting ready to be transformed into a business platform with visitors from every point of the global market. SPGPrints Turkey General Manager Hakan Uzman gave a statement to Textilegence about their exhibition preparations.
Indicating that SPGPrints (formerly known as STORK) is seriously preparing for ITMA 2019, Hakan Uzman said that they aimed to meet business partners, having one of the largest stands of ITMA 2019. Uzman; “As the leading company in textile printing solutions, we will be presenting our most up-to-date digital printing solutions (printer and inks) as well as our rotary printing solutions (printer – screen – engraving). Our company, which aims at continuous development and innovation, will have global launches from different product groups during the exhibition”.
Uzman announced that there will be a screen technology centre and digital ink technology centre, as well as digital printing and rotary printing machines. Noting that SPGPrints’ high-tech production processes for both screen and digital ink will be shown in these areas, Uzman emphasized that this is of great importance for trust and transparency for their business partners; “We’re working hard to provide them with a different experience in the field of printing”.

Underlining that ITMA is the world’s largest textile machinery organization, Hakan Uzman said that they planned to meet with all companies operating or planning to operate in the rotary and digital printing both from Turkey and from different points of the world. Uzman stated that Turkey made very significant investments in recent years, especially in digital printing; “We see that this interest continued in 2019 as well. We estimate that ITMA 2019 will gather a lot of, especially from Turkey. We will be ready to meet our existing and potential customers and contribute to their investments throughout the exhibition”.
Uzman argued that this technology will play a major role in the future of textile printing, with improvements in digital printing technology and the reduction of investment and production costs. “Digital printing has been growing very much every year around the world,” said Uzman, he said that they are clearly observing this development in the completed or planned investments in our country, which is one of the world’s largest players in textile digital printing.

Reminding that global presentation of SPGPrints’ latest generation of single-pass digital printer PIKE has been held at the ITMA 2015; Uzman said that the technology used here and the machine features, which are different from the similar ones; created a tremendous impression. Uzman continued as follows; “Following this, we had the opportunity to realize the global presentation of our JAVELIN multi-pass digital printer with the same technology and features in ITM 2016 in Istanbul. During the past period, both in Turkey and the different parts of the world, we provided the machines to our business partners’ services. The results of the different printing results have enabled companies that use our machines to reach new markets and qualities by bringing them to a different position than their competitors”.
Saying that SPGPrints is the leader in textile printing solutions; Uzman emphasized that digital printing has a major role in company’s growth. Uzman; “PIKE and JAVELIN machines that we offer now are very seriously differentiated from their competitors; with their 1200dpi print quality, 4mm droplet capability, and the Archer Print Head program; which minimizes head costs to the benefit of the user. However, R & D studies regarding both in existing products and new products in digital printing; continue without interruption and we will continue to offer them to our customers”.
Rotary printing continue to improve in both Turkey and the world
Saying that they don’t anticipate rotary printing losing dominance in the short and medium term; Uzman stated that rotary printing continued to improve in both Turkey and the world. Stressing that the real change is experienced in quality expectancy; Uzman emphasized that digital printing brings the quality expectation to the highest level. Uzman said; “There are no ways to achieve the same result in two technically different methods; but with the use of special software, the use of upper segment screens and the use of high-end engraving techniques; the two techniques can approach each other.
Talking about the alignment of digital printing and rotary printing in particular; we have achieved very successful results by engraving the screens selected in the bestLEN laser engraver; with a special module in our bestIMAGE software. We presented the results of these works we have accomplished in Turkish businesses in two separate technical seminars; to our business partners last month. We will continue to share our work; gathering a lot of attention and our high-end printing solutions with companies at ITMA 2019”.
